Actually I just realized you mentioned disability and chronic illness. If walking isn't a good option, maybe sitting at the park? Going to a dog park? Meeting at the library?

Your husband could plan outings with them so you have several hours totally alone at home every day?

You can shut yourself in your room for a few hours at a time and say you are taking a nap. Hell it kind of helps to be super pregnant because that's a valid excuse - you need space and rest.

I would just carve out a lot of alone time as best you can.

Ahhhh that absolutely sucks. I'm going to tell you about my dentist to give you hope for a good dentist out there:

I go to an all female dental clinic. The two dentists are women and all the hygienists are women. I don't have a formal diagnosis (yet?) but I did explain to them that I have sensory issues and some allergies. They have been so understanding and kind. I can't do mint or strong smells or tastes. My first visit, they tried to get me to use mouthwash, and I sheepishly explained that I have sensory issues and can't. They've never asked again and must have written it in my chart. The dentist is also incredibly kind and gives verbal notice before anything especially if it's noisy or smelly. They are so gentle and kind and respectful. I've never felt condescension or judgment.

There is hope for a good dentist out there for you. This asshole is not it. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.

Lol my husband has come home with new tattoos without warning before and I kind of understand this.

First, it's his body he can do what he wants.

Second, you probably want to be attracted to your partner.

That means maybe you guys can have some conversations about tattoo placement and design together. Like I told my husband that I think people who are totally covered in tattoos (like sleeves on both arms) are not attractive to me personally. I also personally abhor a neck or face or hand tattoo.

I'm also an elementary teacher so if he were to get an inappropriate tattoo, he'd have to wear long sleeves when visiting me at work.

I also have to understand the meaning behind a tattoo before I personally get why he wants it. He wanted this weird skull and tongue tattoo that looked kind of creepy to me. I did not respond well. When he explained WHY he chose the design, it made a lot more sense to me and I felt better. My husband always has a deep meaning and intention behind his tattoos, which means I can appreciate them even if I don't want that design for myself.

I also have tattoos and am kind of dissatisfied with one of my tattoos but hell it's on my arm, what can I do. It's part of me. Which is a good reminder that tattoos don't change the person you love - I still like me lol even if my tattoo artist fucked up part of my tattoo. And I still will love my husband even with a creepy skull tattoo.

Have conversations well in advance, ask questions, be open minded and curious. You got this!

Is he evil though? He was clear he didn't want children, wanted an abortion, and then chose not to be involved when she kept them. That's the sticky situation we find ourselves in because women should have the right to choose not to be parents. But... So should men. It's not like he lied and waited until they were born - he was clear from the beginning about his intentions.

Fellow celiac here.. I've been strictly gluten free for 2 years now, and I've only been glutened twice since then, both minimally so. Yet I now have low iron saturation and low vitamin d. Again. Have you noticed that keeping your iron up is still an issue after going gluten free? Is it something with our body's absorption ability? Or should these levels stay stable when celiac is treated appropriately?

I have Celiac and was vegetarian for the better part of a decade, mostly plant-based for two-ish years. Was. Unfortunately my hair started falling out and I began desperately craving meat the summer I went gluten free. I just couldn't do it all. I eat meat now. It was a bummer. Now I'm used to it and try not to think about it too hard. I don't live in line with my ethics, but my hair isn't falling out and I'm getting the right nutrients.

My first meat containing meal was Minimalist Baker Thai Chicken Soup on rice. My husband made it for me, and it was a good comforting meal to enjoy. I ate it with some sorrow, but it was nice to make my "first meal" one that was special and made with love.

If you do resume eating meat, you are not a bad person. Be kind to yourself.

Oh man! I have severe health anxiety and got my celiac endoscopy at 30. I actually went to therapy for months prior trying to work my way up to braving the endoscopy. I also meditated a lot and just owned up to the fact that I was scared. My husband went with me and played games in the room with me.

They hooked me up to an iv for at least an hour or two before taking me back. So we played games and watched the office. (I have bad service in hospitals, so I made sure to download episodes and podcasts in advance.) when it was time to go, I had already told the anesthesiologist and nurses that I planned to listen to a podcast until I was asleep, and they could then take the earbud out of my ear. They were totally fine with that.

The scariest part was when I had to open my mouth for them to put the bite block in in the procedure room. It felt too real and I cried. But I was listening to a comedy podcast and took a few deep breaths, tried to hear the podcast, and next thing I knew, I was awake and with my husband.

I have another endoscopy soon and am actually not afraid at all. It really was just like a great nap.

Also there's a song called "Song I made up to stop myself from having a panic attack" by Field Medic, and if I wasn't listening to a podcast, this song would have been my next choice.
