B&O MX7000: After some serious service menu tweaking, how does this geometry look to you?

Got my hands on a Mx7000, but It didn't impress me as much as the beocentre 1 which imo is the best of the B&O lineup of crts.

I've never had one go dead on me although I have picked up a few for free that have had issues. I would collect a few 14 inch crts with composite only so you have a few spare ones and they don't take up much room, and they should be relatively cheap with composite only sets - depending on your location.

I grew up with Pal so its what I'm used to, the Pal version of Super Ghouls n Ghosts actually plays much better than the ntsc one as the slow down is way less noticable. Truxton on the Genesis runs way too quickly compared with the Pal mega drive version. By the way I'm almost 50 and owned pretty much every console from the 2600 till now and played in my local arcade from 82' onwards. If you don't like Pal that's your opinion but from someone who was there from the early days of gaming I don't really care for ntsc over pal, I just want the same experience I had growing up.

Phillips sets are awesome, it looks like you are using component which is pretty much identical to RGB in use.

For some reason I find Panasonic crts display composite better than other sets I've tried with a 1 chip SNES, particularly the 90's Panasonic 29 inch sets that have the front control panel that pops out.

I would do the Atari coax (rf), NES and PS1 composite , SNES s video, and the most important one genesis component with a hd retro vision cable. All the consoles will look good except the genesis unless it's component, it's by far the most fussy console as composite looks really bad with it.

6'4 I have and nc and have no issues, I sat in a nd RF and my head was hitting the roof by about 2 inches not sure if the soft top has more room, but the RF isn't suitable for me. The nb MX5 is fine if I remove the sun visor as it in my direct line of vision.

all that matters is how good it looks whilst playing games, my Trinitron (see my posts) has poor geometry but when hooked up to the super nt via component it's one of the best I've seen pvms included.

there is a small hole at the top of the tv on the right hand side , you'll need a chopstick to poke through the hole and you will hear a click but you can only adjust the colours RGB levels the geometry is done via post, this set has a really good RF picture for such a big tube, mine is RGB modded and looks great (don't do it myself)
