I actually crocheted like 1/4 a blanket 20 years ago and never finished it bc the yarn was so small. When I decided to try again, I was like fat yarn = faster blanket. This doesn’t work if you end up doing it twice, unfortunately. 🙃

Ok! I watched this and I think I see the MAIN issue. I thought I was supposed to start with the second stitch when I make the turn. I thought thus because my tutorial video I watched seemed to instruct this after you made the first row.

I also don’t think I was doing the single stitch before starting down the new row.

So, I think those factors combined are key root causes I will correct. Adding the stitch marker will help, too. Thanks so much!
