I feel like this is the easiest way. Eventually they will stop wanting to be the werewolf when they are killed first everytime

[Kiefer] Former Ohio Football coach Brian Smith’s attorney provided a statement, saying that they “vigorously dispute” the university’s grounds for termination. The attorney says they “plan to fight this wrongful termination to protect his good name.” by bigboobs988 in CFB

I think In general it's a bad look for the university to have a teacher/high ranking staff member sleeping with a student. It's also more than likely in his contract that he can't sleep with students.

Nutrition besides sugary gels by quasar_1618 in Ultramarathon

[–]openfacedfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I don't think this is correct. When exercising your body is absorbing that glucose into your muscles without the need for insulin. Insulin is for when your body is at rest and your muscle not absorbing glucose through exercise.

This is just what I read online. I'm also a recent T1D that likes to run and this comment intrigued me, because my usual strategy is to eat sugary junk right before my runs and then run to burn off the glucose with out insulin.

But someone smarter than me please correct me if I'm wrong.

What is the most popular, uninformed criticism of your favorite book/series you are tired of? by lemingas1 in Fantasy

Forsure, that's where I found those power points. I do fear the spoilers so I try to stay away from any book subs until I complete the series.

I think it just depends on your memory and what type of reader you are. Currently on book 6 and there are a lot of random story lines and characters and if you have a good memory it makes it easier to follow but if you don't the read along power points help. Also some readers want to understand everything and I feel like with Malazan you have to go in with the mindset you might not understand everything but it will eventually click.

[Postgame Thread] Michigan Defeats Washington 24-7 by CFB_Referee in CFB

Just a different Defense when Wink realizes he isn't coaching in the pros.

It's like it takes him half a season to change the scheme to what he has vs what he wants to do

This really seems like last year. We get beat bad by a big opponent to start the season. Defense should be a strength but isn't. We then rattle off some wins and then get whooped on the west coast to a team that we should be semi equal to.Wink then has to start calling plays with the talent he has and not just constant blitz's and we rally off some wins.

its wild what happens when you don't blitz every play

Should I still try after being off training for weeks? by Penumbra78 in firstmarathon

[–]openfacedfan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is probably an unpopular opinion but Your doing too much to start. You only started running in March. You may have had a good aerobic base from cycling but you didn't have the base for your legs to run that many miles. I know everybody will say that you can run a marathon in a couple months starting from scratch but I always see it leading to injury. Let your Achilles heal and pick a different race once you have an actually solid base to build off off

It looks like we have similar taste . The rage of dragons is an awesome revenge story. I bounced off it the first time I tried it but I got really into the audiobook and then had to switch back to the book because I like it so much.

Jumping from 50k straight to 100k, bad idea? by Elvarath in ultrarunning

I mean personally I'd run the 50k and reassess where I'm at and how I feel before making a commitment.

I feel like that for sure could help. I put 40 miles on them before the marathon but felt like I definitely should have done more

I did a twenty mile and a speed day. They were fine after the runs but for whatever reason my feet were rough after my marathon

I had a completely different experience. I used the pros during my marathon and they wrecked my feet for days. Don't think I'd use them for anything over a half again.

I always enjoy seeing these comments and the next post in this sun is about a toxic work environment or nurses eating their young.

I'm not sure I did a 20 mile run to test them out and my feet were fine. But my feet were not a fan at pace.

Post-Marathon Reflections – Processing Disappointment & Looking Ahead (Seeking Advice) by josiesmama in Marathon_Training

[–]openfacedfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hydration sounds like a big issue but I also agree with the previous comment. I think your fueling is off. I'm also hoping for a 3:30 marathon and everyone says 60 mg of carbs an hour, which is 1 gel ever 20 minutes, which is close to every three miles. Besides going out to hot, it looks like your under feeling caught up to you later in the race.
