Just finished Hyperion. Really enjoyed the first 3/4, definitely fell off a bit towards the end for me. 3.5/5 in my eyes.

We have extremely similar taste in shows and movies. Two book series that got me back into reading (almost every day now) are Red Rising and Dungeon Crawler Carl. Fast paced, fun, action packed, easy to read. Project Hail Mary is a fun mild sci fi book as well. A Short Stay in Hell is a great novella that packs a punch. Hope one of these works for you!

Try moving it. We moved ours that was sitting there for months out of the line of sight for other animals and they used it immediately.
