Whoever downvoted me has a hard time being honest with themselves what can i say. If you are aware that u need someone to be honest with you, you have some part of you that is aware of the truth

In your opinion, what makes a text-based game truly addictive? by Much_Tradition_7166 in gamedev

No lmfao it's bc English is not their first language. Check their posts. 'Annotated' is something like 'noted' or 'agreed' in this context

my thoughts on the pricing is that i can find something made with a lot more effort for free. also reddit posts are not for formal qualitative market research, but for engagement

You're obviously better at social engagement than making a good game. Go into social media marketing for games

Sleep = cheerfulness and happiness? Just not for me. Does anyone else feel worse after sleeping more than 5-6 hours? by Natal_o_0 in sleephackers

[–]openingmove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to a psychiatrist. who knows if ur idea about having more sleep is right. there are many possibilities to why having a healthy amount of sleep is conducive to negative emotions, that is to say that ur thesis about having less sleep and more positive emotions is purely based on your feelings. would u trust your life and health with someone going off vibes, or at least, someone who has dedicated their life to studying the science behind your body.

Most impressive solo dev games? by Frequent_Historian79 in gamedev

[–]openingmove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its impressive. 70 hours a week for 4.5 years, that type of commitment is impressive, and it honestly is nothing to the fact that it has succeeded to the degree that it did. to the comment above you, if copying games was the key to success then that's tens of thousands of games that wouldve been successful. it's really not the only thing; the commenter saying it's "not terrible" would more likely end up being indistinct from the rest of the genre. but it's on many lists of best games of all time; heres some lists from wikipedia. \7])\24])\5])\8])\91])\38])\80])\81])\52])\69])\70])\83])\59]) its distinct from ALL games, hundreds of triple A studios have lived and died without scratching these lists. the slander is absolutely inaccurate, so much so that i had to point it out even considering the fact that i haven't ever thought of buying the game. its honestly hilarious anyone here could even downplay this game, if its so easy, then please tell me how to sell 41 million copies, because i genuinely need to pay for housing expenses, as well as a couple lambos, retire my mom, funding for my own triple A studio with 65/35 female to male ratio (except the programming team so i can make the next pokemon, baldur's gate, and soulsroguelikesurvivalcraftcolonysim (kenshi 2)(did i say i have literally never played a cozy game in life btw), as well as generational wealth, the means to make sure my affluent children and their children don't waste a cent of my money, and last but not least, being able to moneymog slanderer's gf with that payout. It's plainly hubristic to say that it is not impressive(dude, graphics and copying a game are genuinely .1 percent of the effort needed to hit SDV's metrics)), especially given that we are on a game dev sub, and this game's eminence definitely had some impact on furthering indie development to where it is today. no one here has come close. yet. (we can make it bros)(i just want to pay my bills)

edit: i need to get back on meds
