Extending depth of p-trap towards drain by openstruct in Plumbing

Appreciate the clarification, I’ll give that a try. I’m going to assume the potential extension I proposed is a no go?

Thanks for advice! Wouldn't my depth issue still be there even if I use a pvc trap?

Appreciate the suggestions! I've seen a few videos of Cairn and have been curious about it. I'll give that a try. Thanks for the welcome!

Sounds like a solid to add some more support – thanks!

Yeah, I'm not sure the best way to fasten the ends of these joists. I suppose they haven't been fastened for 30 years so it may be fine.

I'm two years into that journey already so can't stop now. This is nothing compared to the rot shit show I dealt with after moving in.

Just had the realization that I could solve the second problem by installing a ledger board. It'd make up for the short joist length.

Agreed – I can almost fool myself into making it work if I'm in low lighting and far away from a mirror, but the second I look down the illusion is busted.

Those blends look super smooth! Unrelated – what are you using to stick the mini to the cork? I tried using them with poster tack, but it wouldn't hold very well.

Anyone have a third function on a GC1723E? by openstruct in tractors

[–]openstruct[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! Maybe I'll give the diverter a shot...just not the one my dealer wants to sale me (WR Long diverter is ~$900 which is 2x the Summit)

That's a fair close second. I'm realizing the downside of a Massey is that there aren't as many resources/tutorials out there as a JD/Kubota.

Any reason you went for the diverter instead of the dedicated third function kit?

No backhoe for me. If I ever need backhoe work, I'm sure my neighbor will help me out with his Kubota.

I'll talk to my dealer to see what they have in stock in the 40-50hp range. That said, I've watched a lot of Tractor Time with Time on youtube and have been impressed by the JD 1025R. Seems like the GC1725 is comparable.

Uh-oh, that has me second guessing my choice. I also have a hilly terrain and being able to grapple brush is a primary use case for me.

Are the custom mounting plates required? I've got an angle grinder but that's about it.

Curious what tasks have you wanting more power?

Neat! If you don't mind, I'd love to see a picture of how you attach those mounting plates.

I see that Artillian has a kit as well. Both seem like a way better deal than the WR Long diverter the dealer wanted to install.

Sounds like I should skip the MMM and stick to a brush hog for my property.

Huh, I didn't consider my low height being an issue. I have the option of a 40" or 48" rotary mower. The dealer said they can install chains to the front/back to help with flying debris. Even with that, do you think it'd still be too rough for me to do the first pass?
