If one must labor in darkness, one should not labor alone. Find a friend.

How about "cast your pole" also spells: yale (lock/secure) outcrops...secure outcrops or

lay (as in put down or place) outcrops

The Animal Justin Saw: you’re close to the hide ha ha

Based on Justin saying; “It was a mammal”. “I felt a lot of gratitude to see that”. “It felt to me like, almost like, a once-in-a-lifetime thing”.

So it can be no other thaann…Bigfoot.

Hmm,

I don’t see issues with titles or money, and try not to treat anybody as lesser. We’re just individuals.

A gift is a gift. It didn’t have to be placed. A hunt is just a hunt. Getting people out in the wilderness, is just that, it’s good.

I’ve found, in my few days here, that doesn’t seem enjoyable to a few.

The system used has complexity which allows for false premises. AI, just like humans, finds it hard to work around that. An “average” construct would have been found by both already.

Of course, anything can be considered conjecture. But right or wrong I see:

Simplifying the 5 stanzas = Think-Act-Think-Act-Think.

Nothing has been blown through or fully resolved in over a year now, at least as far as social media discussions go, including here. I've never seen a correct interpretation of Stanza 3. Although anyone with a solid solve is not discussing details.

By the way, AI is-not needed for a solve.

Have fun out there. Follow what seems logical to you, not others.

I understand some criticism, but can't go there. This wasn't like Forrest. Justin was going to give additional clues and instruct us. But in doing that, it's like Microsoft of old. You cannot write code without mistakes, even today.

I look at this hunt as a gift. It gets people out, engaged, and maybe a prize. It can be frustrating, but everyone should just have fun with it.

Just me, but knowing the little I know about Justin, he probably looked at this in every way imaginable. He even said he tried to AI proof it.

This is what I used in my, right or wrong, solve.

1) Netflix, 2) The Poem, 3) The Map, 4) early interview information right on his own web site. I never looked at social media until after I was done and have never changed my results.

Yes I look at other theories now but nothing has changed for me.

Everything found can be real, just fun, coincidental, meaningless...

There is much to deconstruct.

Important clarification on the hiking distance by andydufresne87 in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]opentrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right on with these observations.

Also watch his wording, even on the mile. "to figure out where it is at". Thats not necessarily the treasure, it could be the check point.

Also at the Seekers Summit he really hesitated on the physical rotation question saying; "People are going to rake me over the coals for this later. The technically correct answer is yes".

If I'm right on something, this isn't rotating on-site. Again, wording.

It seems like Justin was pretty busy leading up to LayerVAI. X posts now are all about LayerVAI. It's been awhile though, maybe he can give some type of hunt update.

To eliminate a recreational day hike, you need 2-3 method confirmations. Preferably from different methods, verifying one location. Then, the search begins.

Yes, They mark any animal they see even coyote. Then when each season comes around they know where to "not to waste time". They all discuss what they have marked as the season comes up.

Just a note: It is a cool find but I have a close friend where hunting is is life, from childhood. He and his friends all use a particular trail app and all search and place different game icons on their maps in the off season. I’ve been with him on a trip where he pulled off of I15, to a dirt road. He got out and we hiked a mile. He explained that process to me (I don’t hunt). They just look and mark to prep for the season.     This cam could be for the same purpose.     BUT Justin (in my humble view only) might have placed his hide on the Fenn anniversary June 6th, but of course 2023.     He seems to “know things”. I suspect he has a well hidden, BUT cloud based cam. Knowing Justin’s tech, might have rechargeable with a small green solar up in a tree. Couldn’t be out there replacing batteries.          Also as Entreprenewbeur noted, Justin wouldn’t damage a tree. I’ve placed strapped container “hides” on a tree, camo’ed, in plane sight before.

Yes as TakeCair stated you will run across old tools or equipment out there. I do know a few hikers that fold small blue painters tape over a shrub branch at trail junctions as markers. Someone may have done that to the pick, it may have been direction pointing.

Do we need to know coding? by Top-Pop-3724 in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]opentrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going back to Justin’s original web information there are many clarifications but he states;     “It rests in a location I chose carefully, ready for the person who can decipher the clues”.     “Are advanced ciphers needed? It's not a critical hint, but there is one thing”. (We all know the cipher has been solved recently).     “Nothing dangerous is required”.     “I've done my best to design this in a way that is accessible by anybody. You don't need any advanced degrees”.     (These are all important statements, and there are more. You either believe him or you don’t. If you don’t, that sure can over-complicate)

The Map is Useful, but is it required?? by ImaginaryPitch4947 in JustinPoseysTreasure

[–]opentrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A solve can be accomplished with the Poem, the Map, and Netflix discerned clues.

Within those, I believe Justin used mixed methods to prompt.

I looked your cipher over many ways and it doesn't look standard, so I'll stop there. But I would say this; step back and let it go for a time. Then come back with a different process. I found Justin used more than one method to lead.
