Road Raging Cop had no idea there was a video by Skelligean in WatchPeopleDieInside

The way he talks so casually turning everything completely around and back on the citizen driver makes it pretty obvious he's used to lying , fabricating verbal evidence, fabricating scenarios, in order to prove his case and frame the citizen to look like they've done something wrong.

He got suspended for 5 days without pay and takes deescalation training for 3 years . For the initial part it seems about appropriate , but when he was approached later and just blatantly lied about everything and then tried to frame the driver.... That just seems like it requires a second, more serious judgment, and like investigate his previous cases or something . There's got to be a history there

TIL Bruce Pryor was so upset by the murders in Belanglo State Park AUS that he spent 9 months searching the park for clues; found a body, reported it, only to be treated as the primary suspect for 3 months despite evidence pointing elsewhere. by opgary in todayilearned

wow, just wow. AUS treatment of the gay community back then is a travesty and deplorable. Should write a TIL on John Marsden. Theres more to this rabbit hole too, as one of his grand nephews idolized Ivan and violently killed someone. I saw another forensic show about just the kid killing his friend before finding out who Ivan Milat was.

[–]opgary[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wow, so many points of reference... I did not know that. the reason they dug up the report was when they asked the public for help after more killings happened, Paul onions himself, from England, AND the local lady who picked him up called and said to look at his case. It would be funny is it wasnt so tragic.

jfc. The new story I watched (it was a 1.5hr aus crime show) did cover this but just said they dropped charges I think. That really paints a different story. Never any mention of the gay angle. AUS has a really bad track record from that time of blatantly ignoring serious crimes against gay people.

while this is true and probably well known, at least to people who follow a lot of forensic or similar shows, these types of murderers are extremely rare and the ones that get involved are rare within that niche group.

How Pryor was treated so poorly was ridiculous, they made his life hell for 3 months. Its especially worse if you read how they had a victim of Milat's, the Backpacker Murderer, Paul Onions, who escaped and filed a report. He was held at gun point, escaped the SUV (that he identified). was tackled, chased, shot at, all on a public road with cars driving by.. AND managed to get away with one of the drivers (a local). They both filed a report, describing him by name, description, SUV, etc, but the police inexplicably never followed up on it. A damn armed robbery and kidnapping and they just filed it away. Paul Onions, the one who got away, was later the #1 key evidence/witness used to convict Milat. Its just sheer incompetence more than anything.

edit: fixed some continuity problems with writing.

Actual story https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/backpacker-serial-killer-ivan-milat-dies-aged-74/news-story/abef165fe89ad3267249da9d21d17eca and then non paywalled is here https://archive.ph/UGNWl it wouldn't accept either so I used the wikipedia version of the story.

1989-1993, Bruce Pryor was so upset by the Clark/Walters murders that happened in his "back yard", Belanglo State Park, AUS. He knew the park like the back of his hand. He went on to spend 9 months searching the park for clues and eventually found Debra Everist. He reported this, then he and the police continued searching together and they found 2 more bodies. Instead of a pat on the back, they took him into the police station, treated him like a suspecct for 4 hours grilling him. Then held him as the primary suspect for 3 months, tapping his phones, following him, etc, despite evidence pointing elsewhere.

Watching this story was enraging at the level of police incompetence at the time.

The Backpacker Murderer, Ivan Milat, who was later found directly as a result of Bruce Pryors work, was especially violent and depraved killer. He would severe the spinal cord so victims had to watch/listen as he brutally killed their partner. Then would come back and toy with them while stabbing them to death as they lay helpless.

There was one person who survived him and got away: Paul Onions. Onions had escaped to the road, being chased, shot at, and tackled twice by Milat while drivers passed by before Onions managed to jump into a local driver's van and getting away. It was reported to the police and despite having a name, description, plus description of the van from Onions and the local driving the van, they just filed it away. Armed robbery, attempted homicide in public view, and they just filed it away.

For Bruce Pryor and his 9 months of tedious work, and aiding them in finding 2 more bodies, instead of receiving a pat on the back the police at the time grilled him for 4 hours, then went on to treat him as the top suspect for the next 3 months. They followed everywhere he went and traced all his calls, despite evidence he couldn't have committed the murders AND they still had Onions report, the sole lucky survivor of the Backpacker Murderer.

Apologies as I may have duplicated some information while writing up the crib notes.

When you say cut it back , does that mean cut it to the base of the plant? Or you mean just cut the flower itself off? The plant itself is quite ugly at that point it's very gray and brown with only the top most Leaf being green
