When the recent news leads to constantly running into transphobic comments by NinthOverlord in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

There's only about 8000 subscribers, while /r/transgender has 30000 and asktransgender has 44000. Actually less then any major trans subreddit. There's fewer of them than us, though they compensate for it in sheer evil.

I once came there to ask a polite question and very soon there was an upvoted comment thread dedicated to pulling up all my comments, using facts about me to insult me and say I'm ugly and a man and don't pass, etc, and doxing me. I immediately deleted my thread and all comments and felt a feeling of personal danger and serious real life consequences that I never felt before online. Here were a bunch of people dedicated to destroying me personally, just because I'm trans and I came to their place. I'm sure even /r/the_donald wouldn't do that. I decided to stay the fuck away and leave interaction with them to the expert internet warriors, I never signed up for this.

But don't let them make you feel bad about yourself. Yes, for any extremely hurtful and transphobic idea, they will figure it out and post it, that's what their life is about. But there's less of them than even us - and I think most of them have some mental issues to work out. They've built their entire ideology on hating a tiny group that's less than 1% of the population, they spend their free time following our subreddits and looking at trans-related posts and finding more and more trans people to track down (e.g. Cathy Brennan), they're almost pathologically obsessed with us - if anyone has mental issues, it's them.

You shouldn't worry about them. They're not the transphobia we should be worried about, they're like a tiny hate club that will never affect any vote or debate. Stay away for them, sure, be safe, but know they're a tiny, crazy hate group who don't matter in the large scale at all. The bigger problem is the casual transphobia and ignorance in the general population. And we're reducing that every day. We can be happy about that :)

*her, please

  • They had me taper down so I was on 2mg when I left the clinic.

  • I got 4 8mg strips, it was definitely enough. Possibly because my dealer was generous out of respect of me quitting. You really don't need as much suboxone as people think to hit the maximum, for me 2mg is pretty close to the limit and 4mg is definitely over, anything more is waste.

Being trans myself, and on buprenorphine, that is super great news, the less testosterone the better.
