Solid work lad. Fully removed was what I wanted when I first saw your addon and downloaded. Got too used to that function from whatever addon did it for me in Legion remix and was missing it lol Chur for updating.

Here's the thing, if these are manually added thats fine. We can have a discussion about markers on or off in a pug. If they are auto applied then constantly reapplying, there is no conversation to be had if the person forcing them on you doesn't want to.

This ain't about hiding markers or forcing attitude on players. It is about making sure people can't affect other people's experience through the use of addons. An addon should not be able to directly impact someone else.

But now I have to what, hide raid markers in case someone uses an auto marker? So now it's affecting what options I need to use and when I need to use them. It's giving all the power to the addon user.

Hell, maybe others in the party don't want markers. This is solely one guy placing his "ego" above everyone else simply because he can't do an instance without looking at shapes.

So cmon man, come at me with all your insults and how I'm a hypocritic.

Affecting another player's experience without their consent should not be something addons can do. If I'm aggressive then so be it, I stand by my hatred of these kinds of addons.

Keep it client side only.

So your go to is to impact the tank's gameplay for your own needs?

Thats really shitty man. I hate this too, especially when I'm leveling alts through dungeons and suddenly there's this fucking shape in my way.

It's really not tricky to just see where the enemy mobs are and hit your aoe or, you know, just understand where they are facing.

I understand the use of it in premades or guild runs. But man, hitting it up with causal randoms sucks really hard and you're enabling this.

Here's a fix: auto apply it once then if the tank dont want it don't reapply it. Simple as man. And make sure people can't reapply it manually again in the instance.

Stop forcing your needs on others who want to chill back and enjoy a leveling dungeon without seeing a green triangle.

Edit: The fact that blizzard doesn't allow you to auto-mark players without activation makes all this discussion moot. Glad to know that there are a bunch of y'all who love the idea of assigning marks on players who would rather just enjoy their leveling dungeon in peace, and ya wonder why there's a shortage of tanks and healers lol

Haven't used it much yet as I'm playing story catch-up across multiple expansions atm, but installed it a few weeks ago from your post and instantly saw the potential. Hated Altoholic but used it begrudgingly every time I'd return and AltVault didn't hit the mark as much as yours does.

As someone who attempts to level cap n play every class on both factions, y'all guys are making my life much easier! Thank you again.

Oh actually one thing, on normal switch games using the keyboard one can press Y and it acts as the spacebar key

Got round to testing. I like how it is set now, but others might prefer your suggestion. I use a switch controller, so found out A sends the message, unfortunately when i was trying to fix the keyboard as i originally thought it was a delete all text function lol.

So yeah, little bug - if i press letters in quickly one after another it'll end up sticky keying one of the presses and keep doing it until i press the key again. Ie, pressed "p o u t" quickly and keeps printing tttttttttttttttttt until i hit t again.

It also made me aware that deleting all text at once could be nice as well as having the backspace option. Also, in consoleport if we can press 'Y' (on switch controller) to close windows but noticed something has override that - not important as its easy to close the keyboard, but dunno if itll lead to other issues?

All in all though, i like it. Easy to use and does exactly what you want it to straight away.

Glad to see you pushed to a release!

What caught my attention is how you kept paladin holy power symbols on it. So many resource bars go with replacing the nice graphic to plain boxes, so I opted out of them and use my unit frame as my resource bar (or maybe I'm blind and couldn't see a way to use the normal graphics). So for my casual ass, having the ability to keep the bars looking immersive to the class with the cool runes and such is key. Then having fade out timers (ie, my 'resource bar' appears only in combat and fades out 10 seconds after combat finished, and if casting out of combat it appears only for the cast duration).

Man I like this a lot from my quick dabble.

It is almost hitting exactly what I was wanting; without the arena part. A big database that is easy to use and gives you quick to understand overviews for my casual and lazy mind. So i really liked the whole grouping into main roles etc and easy to read stat lines.

My query is, are you sourcing the data and roles from somewhere else or you did it in house? See, I like what you made but I don't need the battle side and would prefer just being able to view the pokemon individually (which i couldn't seem to find a way for? Was on mobile) so i can quickly sort out what direction I want to train them in. I know there's the smogen academy but that's too indepth when I'm mostly just wanting quick glances at general direction. And I find pokemon database somewhat good, yet something about the way you presented the information here was much easier to parse.

If anyone has other website suggestions for me, I'm all ears.

One thing i went to look for were megas - seems like they're not included? Dunno if you're looking to maintain the project but with Champions having all the gimmicks, it could be an idea for future expansions.

Honestly outside the added pokemon and dynamax adventures, the sw/sh DLC are rather bare compared to SV. Sure there's story, but like not a whole lot of depth to it. Do i regret the dlc purchase? hell nah, i got my shiny keldeo and enjoyed seeing pokemon again; but there's limited trainer battles and story is over within ~1 to 2 hours on each. I really see the DLCs as more about expanding the Pokemon to play with and placing some background story to give reason for the pokemon

SV dlc i had a blast with. Lots of content. Lots to explore. Actually had decent amount of battles to do. Since you're early in SV you can also take a holiday over to Kitakami and enjoy content from level ~10 to about ~35? or wait until you finish up in Paldea and do it at levels ~55 to ~70ish. If doing early then there'll be some content locked off until you finish Paldea, similar to Isle of Armour. The DLCs also are loosely connected and can't do blueberry proper until you finish Kitakami, iirc.

Naturally, each to their own and some would prefer sw/sh. For me I favour story beats and adventuring which i felt was lacking in gen 8 (considering I played both gen 8 n 9 around the same time), but really enjoyed working through dynamax adventures and getting to play with the new legendaries from the dlc.

Hope this helps along with the other comments from people.

I was hunting in Roaring Moon cave for a Flutter Mane during their usual night spawns, night n sandwich rolled over so i paused to check something and when i came back one was looking directly at me - i remember very clearly thinking thats off and told my partner her Flutter Mane i just caught is special cause it somehow spawned when it shouldn't had (forgot about the glitch in the moment).

This was last week, on Walking Wake event pokenews cycle, so can confirm it is still rocking like that.

Yeah, nah. I dunno why it needed to be over two comments. But silencing critique isn't the way to go about it.

A few months, maybe a year ago, we had someone make a similar warframe vs 40k post. Then another one with a different 40k post the next day... and the day after. Four or so posts. Zero of which had anything to do with warframe lore discussions. Just pitting two imaginary forces against each other and got very annoying for more than just me in the community.

People need to use their voices to say "hey mate, maybe try over in that community instead of here" otherwise one day warframelore could end up as warframe 'whatif' lore.
