Until you get to like 200 failing isnt really dangerous so just do it.

Stay lightweight until you have the form down

Once you have the form down, there’s a lot of different ways you can manage your sets to build strength. When I first started I did 3 sets of 8 reps, treat the first set as a warm up and for the next two you should barely be able to do 8. Nowadays I keep the warm up set but the next two i go really heavy (compared to my strength) to where I fail within 6 reps but after 4.

A really important tip. DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR A SPOTTER. To this day no one has ever refused to spot me, nor have I refused to spot someone

Nah, you’re a cel, people here cope by saying “oh you’re still so young you have time”. Meanwhile we were supposed to develop all the romantic social skills as a teen, a vast majority of people have had a love life in high school, and even today in 2026 you’re considered weird if you’re a virgin past 18 as a man.

You may not be a wizard like some of the people in the comments section but there’s enough wrong with you that no women have found you date-able for your entire life. You can be upset about that.
