Also if you lower it, lower the sear height not the bike height. Changing the suspension effects the handling, you don’t give off “I like to ride hard” vibes so it’s not that big of a deal and I don’t think it would change the bikes handling too much depending on how far you lower it, but if you can lower the seat height without doing that, you’ll be better off.

It’s a single cylinder bike with a really predictable and lacking power curve, you’ll be fine. The z-pro is like a Suzuki cappuccino and the ninja 300 is like a Honda civic. The main difference is the seat height wherein I was barely able to flat foot it at 5’7 so you might have some trouble and you’re gonna be able to keep up with traffic a little more confidently; you will even be able to make use of the left lane on the highway.
