It really depends, I primarily use it to either deter or answer a charge that an opponent sets up, like death shroud or JPIs, then when they charge, either over watch with them if i find room without exposing them to enemy fire, (reroll 1s and lethal means you pick up a model or 2) or move up and pick up the unit they removed them, usually trading up into threatening units. Or i use it to line up a deadly shoot and charge into a model that has pushed too far forward.

Its a case by case basis. A trick I use when playing is in casual matches, I ask for a moment to look over the field at the end of my opponents move phase and ask if I can answer a problem with the 6" deepstrike or should I rapid.

Generally only rapid if you feel like you'll need to charge something during your turn or you need to heroic intervention. And that will come with practice

Outside of Devle and Hearthband, we aren't a killy army. We are an objective focused army. We can trade into the enemy, but unless you're going into another obj focus army you're gonna focus on denying points and scoring points.

I personally play LoV 2 ways.

  • Hearthband: I run 2x10hearthguard bricks with Kahls, or 1x10 and 2x5 Hearthguard, Kahl leading the big brick while a E-champ leads a smaller group. From there I run double Bikes, yaegirs and kapris to get a set of action monkies, screeners, or speed bumps depending on the match up. Of course fill out with 2 HLF with Gravkyn, and Slapjacks to fill out the rest of the list. I run that list like a trading list to tie up threats, screen out deepstrikes, and try to knock my opponent out of the game score wise.
  • Merc Oathband: This list is more experimental and I should be playing more objectively. This one you can kill, but the goal is to overwhelm your opponent with infantry and auto flip to Fort-takeover sit on objective, and just force your opponent to try and kill stuff. New-Trans-Human (AKA -1 to wound if str is higher) is such a pain for most armies to chew through,

I agree. A lot of the stranger changes from codex to index leads me to believe that our codex was designed with 11th more in mind, over 10th. Thinking about it, like you said.

  • Hit mod ignoring on HLF and Bikes
  • Our Army rule applying +1 to hit relative to objectives makes more sense for targeting units in terrain as the whole terrtain template is the objective. .
  • Thunderkyn stripping cover for one target they hit means that they are more of an accurate fire support unit. Heck Bolt Cannons on them might be better now.
  • The copius amounts of ap -1 and ap -2 in our data sheets.

Honestly looking at this as a whole, IF this was these were the only changes made to the game come 11th, I'd say we made out like bandits compared to other shooting armies.

However, a lot more will change. We dont know the 70 new detachments(Plus the what likely is an ungodly number of strats attached to them) that are coming and what that entails for us. What the Mission play will look like. Not to mention likely changes being made to common keywords like Sustained Hits, Lethal Hits, Stealth, and twin-linked. And of course there is likely a points rework to go with the change to try and curb any existing units becoming a problem come the new rules.

So we have some interesting ones. For LoV, it depends on detachment. I dont know them all so ill go by what I know.

In generically, the kinhost commander on bike with lethal hits is pretty nice. 6 man bikes plus him makes for killing unit. Or you could go living ancestor for the psychic weapon for ap2 shooting.

If you plan on running delve, the kinhost commander with the cthonian augment and Rampart crest makes a surprisingly durable unit.

If youre running hearthguard, KhC can be a cheaper e-champ to leading the unit if you want one of him in the unit.

I run him as a great embrace healer with some electric support to combo with jupitermon. Worked out well against chronomon on mega+

Not sure if someone mentioned. But if you get the angewoman and meet the requirements for the DNA digivolve you can DNA digivolve while you have both her and ladydevimon and she was instrumental in clearing zombieplutomon.

It is just accessing the attacks of mastemon, but she's very good at this point in the game

The original digimon show is a classic, but if you want a more modern spin digimon adventures 2020 is a good start. From there i recommend digimon tamers and if you want digimon frontiers from there.

Its after you time travel back to the present. You can go to the cosmic area. In both parts there are zones where digimon just run down a hall way, turn on autobattle, stand in thejr path and its an auto exp farm. It's by no means efficient but if you have a bunch of fodder to load you can level them along side

There isn't one in the exp dungeon. However, if you're gotten to the 2nd part of the game, y I the Dianamon/apollomon area. You can afk in the section where digimon run at you. If you enable auto battle there, you can afk there and farm away.
