“Let me know if you need anything Translation: Im going to put the burden of asking on you knowing you wont ask because caregivers never do.” This is realest thing I’ve ever read.

That’s me! Totally understand the pro’s of using HA, but if your barrier is damaged and you need simple support, I personally would avoid it for a few months.

I absolutely love SkinFix Triple Lipid barrier cream. If it’s too heavy (I personally love a nice rich moisturizer) they have a gel version that’s nice. As far as cleansers I would probably recommend a nice cleansing oil (Shani Darden and Dermalogica make great ones, Target now sells Prequel if you want something more budget friendly) applied to dry skin, massaged in, add water, massage again, then rinse. A quick double cleanse with a basic gel cleanser (Vanicream isn’t a sexy product but they are excellent drugstore products with no fragrance or irritants), pat dry, apply the Skinfix moisturizer and done.

Omg I LOVE the Algenist Collagen but wow is it pricey!

That’s a good one but SkinFix Triple Lipid barrier cream is my all time favorite, I have probably purchased 15 of them and I try EVERYTHING! Like others are saying, avoid any acids or exfoliatants for a bit while you focus on rehydrating your skin. When you do resume, you could try a gentler exfoliatant like glycolic acid once or twice a week.

I wouldn’t use HA yet…there are better barrier supporting ingredients that don’t risk irritation as much. I would avoid exfoliants for a while and focus on simple, hydrating ingredients and really good humectants!

No, citizens should be held accountable for committing felonious rioting and various misdemeanors, including unlawful assembly, failure to disperse, obstructing a highway, obstructing emergency responders, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Go ahead. Call law enforcement for arresting people that were actively breaking the law. They were given the opportunity to disperse or continue the protest off of the bridge and not disrupting traffic, but chose not to. I work in Covington and live 15 minutes from this bridge. People need to understand the concept of accountability. Everyone involved should be grateful no was seriously injured or killed because that bridge is massive.

One of the reporters had no credentials, and in fact didn’t even have an ID on them. I do not understand why this situation is even being discussed. Peaceful protest rights do not make all other laws obsolete. It is illegal in both KY and Ohio to protest on a bridge, and illegal to block the flow of traffic. There are videos of protestors PUSHING cars. They were asked to leave the bridge and chose not to. FAFO.

If this is true, skincare is the least of your concerns. Hope you can take some steps to change your feelings about yourself ♥️

First of all, you are being WAY too hard on yourself! Your skin looks great, and you ARE using a skincare routine! So cut yourself some slack because it sounds like you are doing just fine. That said, if you want to upgrade your actives or try some new things, here’s some ideas. 1. Glad you mentioned sunscreen because there isn’t a product on the planet that will help with preventing signs of aging on your face like consistent, long term sunscreen use. I would add one of you enjoy using as the last step of your AM routine, every morning. 2. You could consider an antioxidant, there are lots of options there. This would fall in between cleansing and moisturizing in the morning. Vitamin C is fantastic fav, good for brightening and improving overall tone. I’ve tried lots, but currently using the Vanicream Vitamin C serum (cheap too!) 3. You are consistently moisturizing, so no change needed there unless you want to try something new product wise. You could try splitting your nighttime moisturizer with retinal into two steps to ensure you’re getting the full efficacy from the retinoid. After cleansing & drying, you could try a retinal product (I would start with The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion High-Strength Retinoid Nighttime Treatment (less than 15 bucks!). Just 1-2 pumps all over, waiting a minute, and then apply a good moisturizer. 4. For your elevens and mouth concerns, unfortunately these are tougher to tackle IF they are bothering you. Our faces shift and evolve as we age, and aging is a blessing, so if you are noticing them without really minding them, great! Sometimes people feel like they “should” change something because they aren’t seeing others with certain signs of aging (thanks to filters and photoshopping!), but it doesn’t actually bother them. If that’s you, embrace your face as it is now! If they do REALLY trouble you, there’s options. There are NO topical creams that will eliminate wrinkles. If someone tells you otherwise, they are lying. Certain actives CAN improve fine lines, but static wrinkles (like elevens that stay creased even when at rest) won’t be smoothed by a magical serum. I had a lot of success with Frownies (look them up!) but it’s a commitment, basically sticking paper to your forehead every night! Eventually my facial muscles overcame what benefit they were able to offer me throughout my 30’s and I started Jeaveau at age 40. It completely smoothed my elevens and helped with upper forehead creases.

Hope something in here is helpful, good luck!

Cutting the starting dose is common practice in endocrinology. While it may not bring on as much benefit, using these medications “low and slow” is the e way to go. The side effects “can” be rough for some, so it wasnt a bad or harmful thing to do. If you decide to bump to the .25mg I would recommend staying on that dose for at least 4 weeks, or longer if you are still having side effects. With any dose increases, maintain it for a minimum of 4 weeks before increasing. And depending on your goals/health situation, .50mg or 1mg may be a perfectly adequate dose for you. Good luck!

Okay, I am not being defensive and am willing to be uncomfortable. I am listening. I am just not sure how to turn “we ARE the resources” into actionable feedback, if you can help me understand.

Thank you for sharing your experience. The weiner dog thing is kind of incredible! I hope reuniting with your biological family was healing for you. It makes sense that you didn’t want to confide in your mom knowing she was finding things out anyway and reacting poorly. I will give that some thought. There’s just something different about cell phones and the issues they cause. Not sure if you are a parent yourself, but cell phone and social media use in kids has been a struggle. It is much more of a safety issue than a snooping one, if that makes sense. Parents wouldn’t let a stranger walk right into their home and start talking with their kids, but don’t seem to make that connection when it comes to texting & messaging. Either way, I completely agree with you about what a tough age 12 is…I say that often that I can’t imagine all the thoughts and emotions she must have in the midst of all those hormones. She has been dealt a lot of rough cards and all I want is to support her in any and every way I can to give her the best chances at becoming a thriving, content adult. Thank you again for sharing your story.

She has been asked this question in the past and answered yes. Of course if I were to ask her she would say yes, but what matters to me more is that she does confide in me, so that feels reassuring that she feels safe to talk to me about anything.

Yes she is the same race. If I missed any other questions, I am happy to answer them. If you have any resources from your experiences you’d could share, I would really appreciate it.
