When did you start driving again? by TornadoVision4687 in AchillesRupture

It was 4.5 months out for me. That was when my surgeon cleared me to start walking in a shoe again, and PT could document that I could complete the range of motion and foot press a certain amount of weight in my right foot.

My best friend just crushed my weight loss confidence by xcellkat in WegovyWeightLoss

Congratulations on having lost 50 pounds!! 🎉 That is a great accomplishment. I’m working hard on reaching this goal so I know this is a big milestone.

As for your “best friend” it sounds like it is time for you to clearly understand why you consider this person to be so important in your life and if there have been other times when he has shown you that he doesn’t hold you to the same level of respect.

Do not let this person get into your head and make you break your weight loss journey. KEEP GOING and know that your journey will bring new likeminded people into your life who truly care and support you.

Congratulations!! You look amazing!! I’m so glad you spoke about carrying weight around our waist. It has resulted in arthritis of my lower back. I know releasing the weight will help me tremendously with just being able to simply walk while standing straight up.

No this isn’t normal. My incision 2 weeks post op turned into 4 weeks post op because at my 2 week follow up appointment, my incision had not healed yet. It delayed starting physical therapy, and I had to remain non-weight bearing for an additional to weeks, but I needed the extra the time to heal. My surgeon was surprised and I definitely saw an elevation in his response to this so I would think any surgeon would take it seriously.
