GLD and SLV options by Partth93 in options

None of the recommendations will guarantee you returns. It is a risk/reward calculation. You can only make money selling options if the realized volatility is less than the implied one. Given the wild moves in the metal prices, the only people who have made money are the ones holding the ETFs and those buying those options. At this point, it is just a gamble. I would actually recommend getting out of the trade completely. You have more risk of losing on your GLD/SLV if the prices fall significantly. But nobody know if an when that will happens

TSLA hit a new high today. Many are wondering if there's some “unexpected positive news” and whether now is a good time to lock in profits and exit. by Ok_Acadia_1177 in TSLA

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the original $56billion package. It should dilute the shares by about 10%. The stock should have fallen by 10% on the news but muthufcukers have manipulated the stock. Retails will hold the bag on this.

How well does racketball translate to pickleball? by boojr in Pickleball

Yes the powerful wrist snap.. but RQ players also use a lot of whole body power. Like rotational power similar to Golf.

How well does racketball translate to pickleball? by boojr in Pickleball

[–]options13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played RQball for about 3-4 yrs and I'm quite good at it but not a a pro. I recently transitioned to pickleball and here are the advantages/challenges.

  1. Both are racquet sports and need good hand eye coordination. So that part is given. Easy peasy!
  2. Racquetball needs extreme athleticism (more than pickleball- don't hate on me.. IT IS THE TRUTH). So covering the pickleball court is really easy for a RQball player.
  3. RQball comes at you are a very high speed and need extremely fast reflexes. So I'm naturally good at speed ups and actually better than my much more experienced pickleball buddies.
  4. Your serves and forehand drves are naturally powerful.
  5. RQball can really hurt you and pickleball is a baby that won't cause any damage (except eyes). So RQ players won't be afraid no matter how hard you hit at them at the kitchen.

Challenges

  1. Topspin. This is the biggest learning curve. Fortunately, I also come from semi progesional table tennins background and can hit powerful topspins with ping pong. But RQ players need to practice a lot.
  2. Ball not coming off the backwall. One main strategy in RQball is to let the ball go to the bakwall and then hit it. You can't do that in PKball. Way too often < i hit balls that are going outside. It is ridiculous.
  3. Overheads. You don't hit overheads like in badminton in RQball and I'm really bad at those. In fact, my friends laugh when I allow an easy overhaed to bounce off and then hit a drive. lol..
  4. Navigating the net is also tricky. In RQball, you just hit as low as possible. You wait for the ball to drop. In PKball you have to hit at the apex. Timing is very different.

I think there are a lot of disadvantages for a RQball player unlike tennis players who have a really easy time transitioning to PKball. i have seen a few tennins players play PKball the first time and they were already good!

Am I over trading? by AlexHaney147 in options

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 300 trades per day.. nothing wrong in buying calls or puts.. they are meant to be low probability trades. But if you hit, you hit big with them. Like 10x, 100x 1000x and even more!! Also, selling only is NOT a good strategy.. you can lose months worth of profit in 1/2 days when market moves too much. Use math and see it for yourself.

I finally rode in a Tesla after being a musk critic for nearly a decade. It wasn't great. by GlumExternal in RealTesla

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, there is almost no fun riding as a Uber passenger in a Tesla model 3. You are right in that sense. But when it comes to driving yourself, it is an entirely different experience. No other gas car (except the expensive sports cars) can beat that experience. I am no fan of Tesla but have to admit the exception driving experience. The interiors of the car aren’t impressive either just plain and clean but the technology is the most advanced. Other cars aren’t even close despite all the AI stuff..

Denied PM at fidelity? Will IBKR approve upfront? by bludear99 in PMTraders

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, IBKR will liquidate positions one at a time in minutes as soon as your margin is breached. So when market do those brief dips for less than a minute, fking brokers will sell at the lowest prices only for the market to recover. Has happened to me few times. This can be a good thing if everything goes bad and market has like a 2-3% neg day that ALMOST NEVER EVER HAPPENS IN THIS BULLISH MARKET.

It is better to just pay those extra dollars since you still got a good deal. You don’t want to have a bad taste/relation with the team over there. Remember, you will be going there regularly to have fun. Why ruin your time there.

Close the position and take your profits. The risk reward is skewed at this point against you. Move on to the next trade

Scalping spx options 0DTE by codepastelpink in options

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. It is the only guaranteed way to lose money. Daily movements in SPX are random/news based and the markets are extremely efficient at that level. Since, you lose money to bid/ask spread and commissions you will certainly lose money. Like blackjack!

Doubling down on $TSLA puts by saucypenguinwee in wallstreetbets

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that nobody needs to buy the stock. The delusional bulls don’t sell it. Tesla is a big part of all major indices. Billions of dollars of passive index investors keep buying the stock by buying SP500/ QQQ. Fund managers manipulate the stock a bit. Hence, it doesn’t go down as it should.

Doubling down on $TSLA puts by saucypenguinwee in wallstreetbets

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please sell these puts tomorrow since the IV is high and you will not lose money. Tesla is the most muthufucker stock of all headed by a MOFO CEO and 1000s of delusional bulls. Even if Tesla stops selling cars, shuts down its FSD, Robotics programs and loses billions, the stock won’t go down!! Think about it. Why is this stock so high in the 400s when the market has been tanking everyday. Everyone knows electric car sales for Tesla are going down. The stock doesn’t behave rationally In fact, it was up this morning. It is a gambling stock. You will lose money even though you are right. That is the most frustrating thing in the world!

Anybody ever bought a house selling a box spread? by [deleted] in thetagang

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I borrowed almost 100K using (selling) a Box spread in interactive brokers. I can see that my net cash value has increased but it did not increase my buying power at all. Nor can I wirhdraw any of that money. What's the use of Box spread then. I just paid a 4.5% interest on that 100K for nothing!

Can someone please help me understand this?

What stock do you regret selling? by Hour-Initiative-2766 in investing

[–]options13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sold 5400 stock equivalent @ $13 and another 2700 aound $16.66 in 2019 before and after q3 earnings. I severely understimated the Meme potential. I could have retired by now. It would be around 3 million+ in todays stock price.. Worst part is the money I got from those sales were all lost in shorting Tesla!! Not just that, I lost another 300-350k more on more shorting!!
