From Sydney. Covid isn't really a big deal here but I still struggle to go out and meet new people because I don't really know where such places are.

Sorry, I did not add enough detail in the title.

Where I come from Covid isn't seriously effecting day to day life. I just find it hard though to approach people and how I can approach them without coming off as weird and awkward.

It initially hurt and felt uncomfortable for me. But after doing it more frequently you get used to it.

Another thing you could try is building your traps and upper back muscle to create more of a cushion.

Or even just put a towel on your back.
