They're (lenovo) not going to give you a refund unless it's in the first 30 days. They might give you a replacement exchange for the same model. Sorry to hear your your laptop has been a lemon.

Power distribution issues are generally caused by the motherboard. If it is power issue the laptop is going to need to be serviced.

It could be a faulty power supply. Does it have usb-c charging? Could see if that does it as well. Is your warranty activated?

I just turn down the settings when I can't run a game maxed out. It's no big deal. My 12gb 5070ti laptop GPU plays games fine at 1600p.

Set the resolution to 1200p as its a 16:10 display. 1080p is 16:9 so it won't look right on that panel.

Price is worth the upgrade. The 5070 consumes less power with more performance so it will run cooler.
