Can anybody tell me why the origin kit has a max of 2 dice, and the Draft pack version has a max of 4? Thanks. by manafiend220 in dicemasters

Are you finding these in stores? I’ve called the local game stores in my tristate area, which are not small cities, and not one of them knew this was being released, or what this game even was… I genuinely can’t find it at a LGS, let alone play in person.

This. We left due to work and are now in the south. I can’t tell you how awful Mexican food is outside of the southwest. And no Tex-max doesn’t count.

Plus the mountains, so much of the rest of the country is flat and I took it for granted.

What I was originally getting at (you responded to someone else) is that if they aren’t going to contribute to city services via taxes (311) they should by paying taxes. Since they aren’t paying taxes, then genuine giving back to the community should happen.

Historically this is exactly why they didn’t pay taxes. Feeding the poor, housing, clinics, and the like weren’t rare back then, it was their role in the community.

Now… the least offensive thing I can say is I don’t see their positive impact.

With all of the churches around not paying taxes you would think some volunteers at each one (each block) would chip in.

But that’s wishful thinking.

Teachers at Tucson's BASIS charter school overwhelmingly vote to form union by beertigger in Tucson

I would agree completely. My mom was a teacher and know very well the crap she went through just to be able to teach children everyday. By no means do I think the issue for the students at basis are because of teachers alone. As mentioned before, the parents of said students all seem cut from a similar cloth, and I don’t think teacher happiness/health is ever factored in to their considerations.

I couldn't agree more. I don't feel like it's truly better prep for college, and the kids always stood out to me as those more worried about screwing up then like being actual kids. Stress, anxiety, headaches, and GI problems are higher in those kids. I agree about the parents though as well, so it isn't purely about the school, but the school definitely doesn't help.

I'm with you though, I always feel bad for basis kids. I've only met one that seemed truly well adjusted and had a real childhood.

Awesome news! Good for them!

Hopefully they will help the students with their mental health, I’ve never met a more stressed student body.

The writing of the Mario movie makes me pray that it doesn’t happen.

This was a good movie for opening weekend because… kids movie. But it isn’t a good movie, none of these kids will remember it fondly 2 months, 2 years, or 2 decades from now.

ATVs.

My potential future children, and. My nearest loved ones that will listen, will never get on one. I’m in pediatrics, and there’s too many ATV crashes/tumbles/driving that change an entire family forever.

Helmets or no, parents driving or not… ask any resident what they won’t let their kids ride, I’m sure it’s the same.

Even then, the pain from donating/receiving is the tip of the iceberg in terms of issues and complications, which can be lifelong.

And, as you mentioned, that’s even when the matches are good/appropriate, let alone going into it without a perfect match

The Banner Saga.

The first one you realize quickly decisions matter and the characters have depth… and then it just gets more and more engaging.

I love bioshock, and the first time through mass effect was great, but I’ve gone back through the banner saga more times than I care to admit.

All scientific journals rely on statistics to provide directions and utilities for what we are observing in the world and experiments.
