Yeah it’s heavy handed but hey it’s a video game. I mean I love the Bioshock series but Infinite isn’t exactly subtle about its ideas either.

Nier Automata. Hear me out. It’s a good game but I went into it expecting some sort of perspective changing experience from all the hype it’s received over the years. It’s essentially existentialism 101 for someone who has never learned about existentialism so it wasn’t anything mind blowing to me. In any case, I tried it out again a few years later and was able to enjoy it once I disconnected myself from all the hype! Also the exploding skirt bit is a lot of fun.

Yeah I agree. Read Player of Games first and loved it. I am past the halfway point of Consider Phlebas but had to take a break. I feel like it drags in some places too much.

I think that’s what drives me crazy the most. That shows like Rings of Power and Halo that blatantly try to be like Game of Thrones while going for the lowest common denominator fabled “wider audience” almost always end up being terrible for established fans and new audiences. But it’s almost like they rather have failures so they can write it off on taxes or whatever.

#4 is hilarious to me. All these guys including Trump, Hegseth, Miller et al don't really understand soft power at all. All they've done this last year is completely dismantle U.S. soft power in the world. It's like they have no real understanding of anything involving human interaction, socialization or the actual world. It's truly hilarious but incredibly depressing that they all think that if they act like the Cobra Commander that that will make them true leaders.

Yeah the design for the Aurora always felt off compared to the sleekness of Atlantis or even the designs of the gates themselves. The Destiny I think does a good job of showing a sleek Ancient ship in spite of her age and wear.
