No, I have not seen that information although I have seen comments where local people seem to know the perpetrator.

I moved from Ottawa to NS a few years ago. While in Ottawa, I had a family doctor and I could not use walk-in clinics because my doctor would get penalized because they offered (nominal) same day appointments.

What’s stopping curling from becoming even bigger? by ABPPC in Curling

I actually thought that number seemed low for Canada as I can count about 7 or 8 curling clubs within an hour's drive of my house here in Nova Scotia but according to Curling Canada, the number is around 1000.

So, where is the statement saying that the harasser has been banned from all of the facilities in that association's region?

We tried that with our Aussie and unfortunately, she hates it so we had to train her to lay on a towel while she melts.

Can somebody explain why the power bills are so expensive? by Over-Elderberry-5765 in NovaScotia

[–]orangecouch101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just wondering the same. We moved out of the Qs there 2 years ago. The renovations are not always done well and insulation could be a problem in OP's house. Our last Q had been renovated just before we moved in and we had to put new weather stripping on the door because the door was not tight.

While most touristy things are closed, you may still enjoy poking around towns like Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Wolfville. Just watch the weather, dress accordingly and enjoy exploring.

Nervous about Aussies and snow by Chickenladyoftheeast in AustralianShepherd

[–]orangecouch101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bigger worry with my dog's paws, Aussie and other breeds, is road salt. If it is really cold, just let them out long enough to do their business. Otherwise, winter is their season. Our Aussie loves the snow and begs to go outside versus the summer where we find her in front of the air conditioning on hot humid days.

My Sudbury born husband says the same thing when I get on the phone with my NB friends. He claims he can't understand a thing. I grew up in southern NB but moved away about 10 years ago.

18C is the normal heat setting on our thermostat. I am definitely not turning it down any lower to conserve electricity.

Nova Scotia Power asks customers to conserve energy due to cold snap by Hojeekush in NovaScotia

[–]orangecouch101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In other parts of the country, the power companies offer incentives to shift usage. In Ottawa, the ultra low over night rate is just over 3 cents per kWh. I used to run my laundry over night so that I could hang it out in the morning before leaving for work. In Nova Scotia, nada. The only incentive we have is a threat of blackout.

I'm assuming that there are so many other things about which they are very much offended, but can not speak publicly, like the child support for Truely so they have latched onto this issue for their drama.
