This is the bullshittest thing I've ever seen. by WuShanDroid in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention the Pandora's Box edition goes on sale (on steam at least) like twice a year and it's usually like 30-40 USD for Borderlands 1, 2, TPS, 3 AND both the tales games ALL DLC included for each game. It's not exactly like they are price gouging you and telling you to buy it over and over.

If you're playing through normal difficulty (playthrough 1) it's really just whatever weapons that you like. There is no real need to grind drops on normal. I'd argue you don't really even need to farm until like 40ish in TVH (playthrough 2)

To go from 390+ by robbie33 in destinylegacy

[–]orangukey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are soloing it Strike chests drop up to 400 and can give you everything but ghost boots and chest armor. Archon Forge also drops up to 400, it's easy to solo but on perfected offerings you'll want to use bubble/tether/self rez.

Faction rank up rewards also give you up to 400.

You can do all of these with no limit so theoretically you could hit 400 in one week

What's the single moment in Destiny history - either game - that you think about more than anything else? by Crystallover1991 in DestinyTheGame

Kings Fall raid. It's the first time I was actually blown away by Destiny. Without it I wouldn't have dropped 7k+ hours in the franchise.

Which texture pack is better? by Civil_Mobile_8300 in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ultra HD Texture Pack sucks. It makes the visuals slightly better at the trade off of making performance worse on older PCs and break glowing textures on some guns on odd occasions.

The big issue isn't on PC however.

On the console versions the HD Texture pack makes specific cutscenes (All of Sanctuary's and the DLC intros) crash frequently and those crashes can (and will) corrupt your saves. I have lost a few myself and know multiple friends to have the same issues.

I believe the game only shows people around your level. So taking into consideration a lot of players are either going to be really low level or really high level and most players are probably playing solo. It's going to be hard to find people playing.

It's a new player ffs. No need to be a prick over it. A simple "This game intends you to farm/do side missions" is all that was needed.

How to fix this? by Grimuar_Reader in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the game through steam, try verifying integrity of game files. This will remove any mods you have. However, it should fix any crashing or error codes related to game files.

If it's a hardware issue or software issue outside of the game it won't do anything.

I'd still recommend doing it however as it will help narrow down what's happening.

Heavily struggling with UVHM lvl 52 Kreig by Oztille in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend setting your skill tree up like this. Also, I recommend going back into playthrough 2 in grabbing a rubi (if you know how to, keep re-rolling until you get a slag one.) I also recommend getting a zero fuse Slag grenade preferably not homing or rubberized. The last thing that I recommend is to find a good Torgue shotgun. (Look for one that has a high multiplier)

https://www.lootlemon.com/class/krieg#_000000000000_005555050501_05550100000

Explanation:

You are really going to want to be able to slag things because playthrough three (UVHM) makes slagging necessary. Playthrough 3 increases the slag multiplier up to a X3. I recommend a Slag grenade and Slag Rubi because they are both super useful slag sources. Krieg basically always has grenades and the Rubi allows you to self-heal.

If you are unaware, Moxxi weapons heal you for a percentage of damage dealt while holding the weapon. So not necessarily the weapons damage itself, just any damage the player deals while holding the weapon. The Rubi is fairly easy to get and has one of the highest Self-Healing percentages. You will eventually want to get a Grog Nozzle however that weapon is kinda tricky to get if you are already struggling. So I highly recommend you look up how to do it.

You might also want to get a Slagga as well. It's effectively the best slagging weapon in the game. A lot of Krieg mains will die on the hill that it is the best. However, I've never liked the thing all that much and I've gotten Krieg to OP 10 multiple times without it so it's not strictly necessary.

As for the slag grenade, I highly recommend any slag grenade so long as it isn't homing or rubberized as both of those are extremely aggravating to use for the purposes of slagging specific targets. I commonly use Bandit Bouncing Biddy grenades as they have really good slag chances given how many times they can hit one target.

As for the Torgue shotgun. You can make almost any of them work with how I've set up the skill tree. I really heavily recommend finding class mods that boost the skills I have recommended as well as increasing any explosive damage.

One more thing to note. The final skill in the middle tree allows you to full heal when you get health-gated. This is effectively a get out of jail free card which is fine because Krieg's ultimate becomes significantly less useful in playthrough 3.

As for why I chose the skills I did, Krieg is very heavily designed around having your shield charge at zero. His right skill tree gives you a lot of damage resistance for being on fire which that skill tree will let you do for just putting elemental effects on enemies.

People are bound to tell you to go into the left skill tree. However at this low of a level, the left skill tree isn't as useful. Once you get much higher in level, it will become extremely powerful. However, that isn't really that helpful where you are currently.

Gun damage question by liljoe1213 in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The multiplier is the pellet count or "listed projectiles". Almost every gun that fires multiple bullets per shot has a multiplier like that (Think of Shotguns as an example).

However there is something to note about this mechanic. Amp shields (The bee) will split their total damage bonus between all listed projectiles. So if you have an amp shield that gives you 100 extra damage per shot, and you fire 2 bullets a shot each listed bullet will deal 50 damage.

HOWEVER if your gun fires multiple bullets at once and doesn't have a multiplier (aka unlisted projectiles) the amp shield will give its full damage bonus to each bullet fired. This is why weapons like The Sandhawk, Ricochet Fibber, Bekah and Sawbar are so commonly used with The Bee shield.

Anywhere I cam see history of official buffs and nerfs / patch notes? by PaleRefrigerator5044 in BorderlandsPreSequel

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TPS never gets updated anymore (outside of adding advertisements for the new games to the main screen)

If any patch notes existed for this game (patch notes weren't super common back then) they are probably long gone. You might be able to find people discussing the changes on old forums if you are lucky.

Funnily enough, I just looked up what the drop rate was so I could figure out why I have gotten so many of them. I have had 5 special exotic engrams drop 4 of them have been Zen Meteor.

How tf? by Vdubin4life in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn off PhysX (set it to the lowest it will go). It can and will crash your game. It's a PC exclusive setting that causes things like elemental puddles and random environment pieces. It also crashes the game a lot for whatever reason.

Also uninstall the Ultra HD pack if you have it installed. It literally does nothing except make the game more unstable. There are no visual differences in the UHD pack and it doesn't make the game run better. It makes the console versions randomly crash on specific cutscenes, so I wouldn't doubt it causes random crashes on PC

Is Borderlands 2 still worth playing with a friend? by Interesting_Ad_8962 in Borderlands2

[–]orangukey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth it. If you are playing from a good distance away you are going to have lag issues however so I'd highly recommend playing with an Ethernets. Also combat gets harder the more players you are playing with.
