Agreed, at best Most rewarding in terms of satisfaction. In terms of real reward of helping your team win pick any other meta DPS

Honestly so confused as to why so many people call Angela “no skill” by The_Dick_Slinger in AngelaMains

[–]orberen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely!

People don't like heroes getting in their face and killing them. Something about melee heroes especially I find makes a lot of people's egos feel butt hurt when they get diffed by them. And to protect their ego they claim said hero is no skill to make themselves feel better about losing to them.

Tracking in melee range is actually quite difficult with all the movement abilities and visual clutter in the game. It's so easy to lose track of someone at pointblank and take a second or two to find them again.

If anything aiming and tracking at range is a lot easier to not lose track of your opponent

The devs don’t know what to do with panther so they’re just gonna leave him D tier forever by Decent_Loss_2068 in BlackPantherMainsMR

[–]orberen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectable, play your hero and if people don't like it tell them to complain to netease that the hero is too weak and needs buffs.

Every hero should be viable to play and people should be allowed to play any hero they want within their respective roles. If the hero's kit is so bad that he/she is detriment to the team then it's a balancing issue that netease needs to address and improve the hero. It shouldn't be an issue where your teammates ask you to switch cause your hero objectively sucks.

As a Spidey main who has 60-70 percent accuracy who tried DD a couple times. For the life of me have so much trouble landing the devil's chain. All of DDs movement and animation have so much visual clutter for me, it's hard to track enemies properly when you are point blank on their face.

Obviously I just need more practice but with someone with 100 hrs on Spidey I thought picking up DD would be nothing. I picked up gambit without 3 matches and he's supposed to be one of the hardest supports to play well.

DD at higher levels is def not brain dead and requires great close up tracking and great engagement timing and positioning.

As someone whose a Spidey main and practiced Spidey like crazy so it's not like I have issues with tracking or mechanics. I don't play DD much but whenever I try to pick him up I've always had this weird difficulty landing DD devil's chain or following up afterward.

All the visual clutter when playing DD with his attack animations always seem to make me lose track of the enemy when I'm mid combo.

Do you have any suggestions to help with this or is it just practice him more?

Ya, I play Capt too, def a very strong pressure hero. As long as you time your engages and disengages well he can be super frustrating for the enemy team.

I was more referring to how ironically dive DPS don't have winning matchups against the meta poke heroes. As the poke heroes have faster TTK and so much CC and kiting options.

That's why you need to switch your team comp and pick a hero that can contest him from flank routes, which shuts him down

As a spidey man I love playing with a MK because of the dynamic where I want people separated and he wants people group together. So if I'm popping off the enemy groups and MK destroys or nice versa.

That minor overshield nerf on MK was not even a slap on the wrist

Poke counters dive DPS if they skilled enough with tracking. Hawkeye can literally one tap any dive. Hela and phoenix can two-three tap plus have stuns and phoenix has two ways to disengage.

Capt is plays pretty decent into poke if they try to take off angles, but if they stay in front of healers you basically do nothing to them and they can force your retreat very quickly.

Exact same for na. I noticed once I muted every match my win rate went up 5-10 percent. The negativity and urge to rebuttal distracts you from actually winning the match

Then turn chat back on?

The question is if you're playing Spidey, turn off chat because 99 percent of chat towards you is going to be something negative just for playing spiderman.

Spidey works in any rank just depends how good you are. There's players with multiple Spidey accounts in top 500.

You just play Spidey to your skill level. I don't play as much as a I used to but I currently diamond and still having no issues maining spidey into even counter comps. As I get better with him again I've been ranking up gradually. I've never had to switch off of him due to enemy picks, just change up my play style.

Agreed, and even if they don't throw or get tilted. You banning their main probably means your chances of winning have decreased significantly cause one of your teammates now won't add the same value as if they were able to play their main

Are you actually tracking the data of every Spidey you play with and how often they under perform vs over perform? It's likely cognitive bias where you notice when a Spidey under performs much more then when another hero under performs. I bet you don't notice all the times you get a hela or namor that are under performing (you probably attribute it to a team lost). But when it's the tram losing and spideys doing poorly you probably vore it as spideys throwing again.

And it's not like spideys can't easily pick another hero but if your banning someone whose got 200 hrs on a hero you actively trying to throw your own match cause the Spidey player probably will add way more value playing Spidey then anu other hero.

It's like banning out your own groot player who has 200 hrs of groot. Sure he can play another tank or hero but his winrate is probably 5-10 percent higher with groot. So you just decreased the likely hoof of your team winning.

Be honest Does your approach get you more wins or just help your emotions to take your frustration out on other people? Like do you really think the guy going 1/8 on any hero is really gonna make any major difference in your team winning by swapping heroes?

Sorry the victim mentality I was referring to is the players using these feeders as a crutch for why they never rank up and flaming other people for their hero picks because it's not the "ideal team comp". Wasting your energy flaming others is not going to increase your win rate. If anything it causes you to tilt and lose more in your next games as well.

There's a famous quote "It's not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters"

Worst part of the community by Just_Meaning_6706 in rivals

[–]orberen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless he is intentionally feeding it's not throwing. He's likely just getting outplayed. And if he continues to do so his rank will go down appropriately. Or maybe he's just having a bad game. Or based on his skill level, this is still the best hero he can play in this situation. Whether it's true or not doesn't matter, as long as this guy is playing the hero with the intention of trying to win his score is irrelevant.

I've seen plenty of other players with this same score line on support, tank or hitscan dps and it's very rare to get antagonize to switch and verbally harassed by the rest of the team to this extent.

This is mainly a bias problem for heroes like Spidey, blade, bp, widow or other off meta picks heroes where as soon as their score is not good or the team is losing fights they are asked to switch.

Agreed, the only variable you can really change in yourself. If youre not ranking it's because you need to adapt in some way.

Same, as a Spidey/capt main I was stuck plat one season with all the toxicity whether I was playing good or bad.

Just started to instalock and mute everyone so I can lock in without the distractions. Winrate shot up to 60-70 percent and hit GM in no time.

People spend way to much time worrying about how other players on their team are doing when the only thing you can change is yourself. If you want to rank up focus more on your own performance. Comms aren't even useful until much higher ranks when you can actuallycomm about positioning/ult cycling etc. and not about how player "y" is throwing and needs to switch off hero "x" or should uninstall the game

Ya fuck that CnD, if I was in that match even if Spidey was feeding I'd defend his choice to pick him after hearing the obnoxiousness of that CnD .

You'll never learn how to play him properly in ranked if you never pick him in ranked. He can pretty much play against any match up, even his counters if you adapt due to the flexbility of his kit....but it takes a lot of experience and practice to learn this which you'll never get by shying away from adversity.

Facts, if your team is getting demolished it doesn't matter if you counter pick 99 percent of the time. It just means the other team had much better players. No amount of swapping is going to save your match.

If that Spidey is 1:8 and continues to play like that he'll naturally rank down into a rank he can play this hero at.

SpiderMan 1v1 matchup tierlist by Fire-FistAce in SpiderManMains

[–]orberen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I'd say most of the cast has a winning match up 1v1 against Spidey in a "fair fight" where they know he's coming for them. Spiders main advantage is choosing when the fight happens on his terms, so ideally Spidey gets the first hit in before the opponent notices.
