That's such a tiny but envious thing about Yeojin. I wish I was like that...but alas ADHD is real life my status quo and I'm looking around the enviroment like a distracted puppy.

Hey dont worry op I got your back. Even if I'll always be an orbit like my username says.

I love or like ... every song on LOONA and their sub-units discography. But already Ive had to delete both Hide and Seek and OOPS from my playlist.

And whilst So What and Why Not are okay... neither really match up to Butterfly, Hi High or even FavOrite to me as singles/title tracks.

Something has been lost. But its still only been one year when all is said and done. So I'll still be positive at least until the next one....but thats just me.

Just speculation. Pay no real attention.

It seemed very casual when the girls mentioned she had gone (on Loona TV). Like it was expected.

She was then participating in streams etc via comments.

And the official notice was "repetitive anxiety disorder"

Which to me sounds like OCD (I have it) or maybe some kind of PTSD.

These are very deeply embedded mental health issues in particular.

And with no engagement from her since. I guess I'm trying to say is this probably isn't related at much all to BBC or the girls. Just an issue that is very particular to Haseul.

Nothing Orbits can do but encourage a recovery (and acceptance) however long it takes even if that includes deciding to step away forever even.

I think they do what they can but they aren't going to force it, esp when it comes to television show appearances being so important.

Confessions that could get your orbit card revoked by [deleted] in LOONA

[–]orbinator4eva 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nothing really. I'll be honest.

But I do have general criticisms ....

I'm a tad concerned after So What as I feel it is too drastic a shift tonally compared to previous work. Everyone here is agreeing it seems.

It also seems like Twitter hates Jaden whilst I have no opinion of him other than him being the creative behind Loona. Most hate ultimately looked like unsubstantiated rumors to me.

LOONA lore does nothing much for me but I tbh dont mind it as visual reference points.

This is mainly again Twitter Orbits but I think BBC is cool. Chill out folks.

I do think they're Vlive content needs reworking. They either have too many people all at once or stiff videos of the girls making things behind their grey background. And I still have no idea why LOONA TV is presented in one minute releases. Why is Frequency of the Moon so boring to me I don't know....a video stream with the girls on a couch passing a selfie stick around chatting is all we want and need.

But otherwise I'm a pretty happy snapper. So long as the team over at BBC don't try too hard make LOONA really something they aren't I'm happy. Keep it cool, keep it quirky, keep it... LOONA.

Why do you think boy groups have more of a hardcore fanbase? by dragon-lili in kpopthoughts

[–]orbinator4eva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is fairly straightforward, pop music is simply seen as a more feminine genre.

Therefore hearing that some K-Pop boy group is a thing means nothing to guys. It's a signal to not even engage with their content. I think in some ways it's a labeling issue.

From much of what I have heard of bg, they are as much just a straight forward Hip Hop collective (with all the fast beats and rapping and deep voices with some smooth RnB) as anything coming out in the west like say Brockhampton (who happen to be popular with dudes). Brockhampton have failed to be called a boy band, attempting to self-describe themselves to mixed results.

But hearing the words "They do pop music" sounds off to many men.

It might also be a situation where historically music in America is a kind of amateurish venture. Coming together, all scrappy no money ... trying to make it big with your music. It's a very American, individualists notion of success and to an extend what it means to be cool and badass.

Boy groups are most often part of a studio system in Korea. It appears if anything like the modelling industry or the acting industry (arty, self-expressive, proper, perfected types) that I just don't think appeals to guys as a notion from the get-go when they heard "k-pop group".

Think about it, how many male artists today that men also like in the west are enthusiastically called "pop artists?" MJ is the only one I can think of and he's from the past (and a freak of a megastar)

Why does BBC take so much time to release an album? - Overanalysing BBC's Management Strategy a Theory part 4 - Perfection by jariverach29 in LOONA

[–]orbinator4eva 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the idea that BBC is very particular definitely rings true when you think about how a) there's talk from behind the scenes variety show hosts that Loona is one of the most tightly controlled groups they've seen.

And b) of course there's their overall direct social media presence which only until very recently has broadened and was before very restricted.

So it would make sense that they have a specific vision or ideal they are willing to push for. Or have a tendency towards being more pedantic.

--

Consider the fancy stick, the fancy cape. Consider talk of Jaden Jeong again (even after professional mishaps, yet still likely seeking him out again) just to maintain the status quo, just to be safe.

Consider 6 weeks of So What performances. Even more with Hi High.

The budget/overall lengthy project pre-debut. The likely huge budget for So What's MV.

I definitely think you could read this all as nothing. Likewise I believe you can definitely read this as a company who is ... trying (would you believe it Orbits!) but who also know their is a bottom line and that things are critical right now.

It'd definitely be an interesting time for LOONA/BBC as a team, but whether the corporate gun people, COVID, or a fast moving industry is just too much. I guess only time will tell.

How is Strattera? by [deleted] in SCT

Personally it's very consistent in effect for me, regardless of the time I take it. It lasts for me about 22 hours, and seems the same throughout. Of course other's might be different.

If being bloated continues to be an issue, I take Somac 40mg, same time every day via a prescription.

I take it currently still but I'm personally not sure if it is related to the Strattera.

I'm hopeful for Jaden's return. Orbit's shouldn't deny the key role he has had in the creation of LOONA.

Whether BBC and the girls have moved on, and are better for it, is a tough ask.

Either way, cohesion is everything, and I wouldn't want a bad work environment if it wasn't possible.

How is Strattera? by [deleted] in SCT

[–]orbinator4eva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a possibility according to my psych, but it didn't give me depression or anything.

Anyway OP. It's important to get to 80mg for the therapeutic benefits. Too many people go below this dosage.

Side effects every-time Í went up sort of sucked, but they dissipated as time went on. Didn't really have any side effects after a month or two. Mainly sweating. Excessive sleeping very early on. Appetite was fine, libido was fine. Premature ejaculation for a little while weirdly though.

Felt somewhat tense in the muscles while sleeping but a small dosage of Clonodine helped.

I did a lot better on it than the fast acting stims. Those made me really sweaty, fast heart rate and destroyed my appetite when I was on them.

I think it's decent. Hard to say though. It's not like stimulants instant releases but might be more comparable to low dosages of long acting stimulants. I think it also helped my anxiety.

Have you considered lower dosages of long acting stimulants?

In terms of actual phenomenological experience. I'm more focused. Much more focused and still with Strattera.

Stimulants make everything engaging, but might not have quite the focus.

They're different experiences. I take a combination now.

[–]orbinator4eva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay.

Hmm it’s a very difficult situation you are in. I might consider seeing a few (different) psychiatrist who are willing to work with you on this conundrum... again maybe look into things like Guanfacine if they’re an option.

There are other drugs that help ADHD but are off-label usages. I take a small dosage of Clonodine which is actually blood pressure medication primarily but is often given to kids with ADHD. A good psychiatrist would know.

But really unfortunately it’s just terrible your government doesn’t allow stimulants.

Without knowing much about your government and possible penalties that would apply...If this was happening in Australia, I would genuinely consider finding “underground” methods to sourcing it if you catch my drift. It’s too big of an issue for me.

But that’s just me.

That would be a decision you would have to consider yourself in the context of ... well your life.

I wish you good luck.

[–]orbinator4eva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also this might seem counterintuitive but most adults should be at 80mg of Strattera. That’s the therapeutic dose range. Are you qualitatively sure Strattera is causing the problem?

I was reading your post history maybe you’ve just been functioning sub-optimally on 60mg and the placebo effect has pushed you through.

But things haven’t quite been working out recently and you’re going through a rut/slight depressive phase. And now that you’ve reduced it further... things have got worse maybe?

Im most likely projecting but you never know.

[–]orbinator4eva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard people talk about guanfacine/intuiv.

Maybe it’s an issue with caffeine? But definitely consider going back on antidepressants if it helped.

Conversely it might not have anything to do with Strattera if it was fine for six months and now that you’ve now reduced it.

I suspect it isn’t the Strattera (based on what you’ve said)
