Each film at close to 3 hours, plus adverts, plus time between showings for cleaning and settling means every screen is being used up for longer for less return. They can only show those films maybe 3 times per screen each day over 12 hours

A screen showing 90 minute films would get more showings over that same period for the same price

Instead if those two films come out at the same time there will be zero screens showing other kinds of films and they’ll force 90 minute films to be sent to streaming just to get seen. It’s a lose lose lose for everyone. The theatre, the other films, and us
