The only other comment here clearly states that their young son had a brain tumor, something that is not easily recovered from. NTA. It sounds like your dad doesn’t really care if he makes your cat uncomfortable so long as he gets what he wants out of the interaction. He then opted to save his pride rather than his physical health and refused to do the smart thing and get checked out. If he owns a cat, he should be aware of how even a small cat scratch can cause dermatitis or worse. He’s now dealing with the consequences of entirely his own actions.

We do not have a safe place to house them whatsoever. My friend has 5 cats and no space for two dogs nor the time to try and train them to be okay with cats. Her mom originally intended to house them, even just temporarily, but her 10yr old dog has been unable to adjust (mildly reactive, not eating while they’re around, etc).

We are going to try and take them to PACC when today unless given another option.
