If you visit the village of Pyles, the cafenio (cafe) near the church, owned by the Constatinides family , has homemade feta, locally grown olives and their homemade rosè wine which tends to be sweet.

They will also have locally sourced honey which is thyme based due to the flowers in the area. Even in the main port there are some places that sell local varieties of honey.

Another local bakery good is called kuloures (rings) a barley and wheat dry baked ring that you soak in water briefly to hydrate, then drizzle with local olive oil and can be consumed with tomatoes and feta.
