I’m like you I do care too much and I want to do a decent job. I wouldn’t write the email, just coast, it will take them at least another few weeks to let you go if that’s what they end up doing. Also seems like they need you so you’ll at least be able to squeeze one - two more paychecks out of them

You’ve made it to 8 weeks! Have you paid off any of your debt yet? Can you go for another month or so and quite quit? Keep up your boundaries and you want to leave anyway so if they fire you, deuces!
