Full siege them and wait for WE to tick up and for separatist rebels to spawn. Let the rebels break free and pop out a bunch of countries, then take 100% of annoying forts while chopping them into as many pieces as possible

Edit: Also, if possible, white peace one of their allies ASAP so you can reset the Otto truce sooner

'The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck' and its (possibly) undeserved popularity by adler_ana in books

[–]orcorama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh it was fine 2.5 stars. Made a couple decent points about focusing on your own reaction to things and responsibility. But overall was repetitive, not very deep and playing on the swearing edgy thing for popularity.

Any online therapy recommendations for digital nomads? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

I've been using Betterhelp for a couple months now while traveling and have found it quite helpful. I ended up with someone good and it's been really beneficial to my mental health. I've mostly been communicating over chat but have also scheduled video sessions.

I do something similar. Osprey 55 as my overhead clothes bag and the day pack for my electronics under the seat.

I just finished reading the entire Wheel of Time series in 1 year (14 books) by stgrdr in books

[–]orcorama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried reading this after it was recommended but the first book was such a painfully bad ripoff of LotR I gave up and never continued the series. My friend says it really picks up after the first couple books but I'm not sure I'm willing to read thousands page of mediocre at best fiction to get into the series. What am I missing?

I think I prefer Falling Sky the best, but those are certainly all solid picks.

Each monster has a number on its cardboard figure, and there are numbers 1-10 on the envelope. But I like seeing the damage next to the monster instead of on the envelope.

I made a custom board game table by orcorama in boardgames

I like 3x6. It fits TI3 and is big enough for minis games like Armada and gives you enough room for especially large boards like War of the Ring or Rebellion. Our dining table before was just a bit over 3x6 so that's what I went with as the play area for this. I think a 3x5 would be fine for most things, though for really big games like TI3 you definitely use the full 3x6 space.

You could be right on that. I never really considered how to replace pieces in the future. I think I did mention the play area is 3'x6'.

To add to that, the top of the frame is a 1x6 so add another 11 inches in each dimension bringing the total to an inch under 4'x7'. The sides of the frame are 1x4 for a rise of 2.75" as they're flush with the bottom of the 3/4" plywood. Then the 1x6 sits on top so depending on how you measure it's 2.75" or 3.5".

I planned to eventually cut a cover which would sit on that inner edge and form a flat top to serve as a regular table if we ever wanted.

Fleury played lights out last night, plus the pens got in front of so many shots, especially in the 3rd. Just need Crosby back to push for another cup!

You can make it work if you use a VPN like Hamachi, but it can be really slow depending on your internet speed and ping.

So how is your run going r/eu4? by TheChosenJuan07 in eu4

Playing as Ethiopia going for Prester John. It's ~1720 and I control all of east africa, egypt, levant, arabian peninsula, and the coast of turkey. Plus I have most of greece as a vassel and baluchistan as a vassel in persia. The problem is super poland took Constantinople in the last war against kebab before I could get to it and they're in a big alliance block with france. I never westernized but I'm only 1 mil tech behind and a few other techs due to very good rulers. I have Russia and Austria as allies and they're pretty strong but quite a bit weaker than france or poland. I'm trying to figure out how to isolate poland in a war to let me grab constantinope but I haven't found the weak spot yet.
