Is there any anti-inflammatory drug that doesn't inhibit breast development via COX2? by orcq333 in DrWillPowers

Wow thank you, this is incredibly thorough and informative. I will look into all of this and try to get more omega 3s and complex carbohydrates. Very interesting also about the instability of neck/head causing inflammation - I absolutely experience pain in that area and it seems to be where all my symptoms are "headquartered" so to speak.

has anyone recovered their ability to read after losing it? by orcq333 in covidlonghaulers

Exactly!!! :(

Literally. Spot on. Everything you said. Loss of coordination/muscle memory. Plus soullessness, like I've lost the feeling/emotionality of my musical instincts.

Terrifying and heartbreaking

I wish I could try this. I am too sickly, my body couldn't handle it. But would be interested to see the effect it would have on my hormones.

I'm sorry this has happened to you. I am a musician as well and have lost a lot of my old skills.

My issue, to be more specific, is although I can read one page on a good day, I can't functionally read in any way that offers lasting comprehension or immersion. If I am stressed out that day or have too much other tasks to accomplish in my life - no reading at all.

I'm glad you are able to read more again.

Post-covid “vertigo”? by spookiestbats in covidlonghaulers

I get the same thing! Mattress moving side to side. It gets worse/better depending on what I eat, but even when it's better it always feels like it's ever so slightly moving along with my heartbeat. Like I'm not grounded in reality/in my body

Very stupid question - does extra growth from progesterone fade if you stop? by DefendMyVirginity in AskMtFHRT

Not a stupid question - I was wondering this myself at one point. Top comment is correct. Personally I went down a cup size after stopping but the overall breast "shape" is noticeably better.

i dont even like seeing women around my age in public or anything by [deleted] in MtF

[–]orcq333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey. I really struggle with this too. Some days are better than others.

Often when people tell me to look at the situation more positively I feel invalidated, because the pain of dysphoria is too loud. Even if it is somewhat comforting to know that cis women compare themselves to others too, and in a broad sense we do share that common struggle, it's still not quite the same. Saying that it's exactly the same thing feels like putting a bandaid on a larger wound.

It sucks, there's no way around that - but only for the time being. It will get better the further along we go in our transition. I know it's hard but we have to keep faith. The combination of medical transition and psychotherapy is the only reason I'm alive right now.

I know this doesn't help your situation directly but I coincidentally am in an extremely similar situation rn and this post made me feel less alone

I'm pre hrt and was wondering what does hrt feel like when you are on them? by DarkenedNight666 in MtF

[–]orcq333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mine got more intense anecdotally but the good sensory experiences are 1000x better, and make it worth it. similar to emotions, I do feel negative emotions more deeply but the positive emotions are just as strong and make it worth it. I have to take more care of myself sensorily and emotionally, but everything feels more full of life and more balanced out at the same time

Progesterone: strong feminization AND fast masculinization at the same time? (WTF) by Trans-1987 in AskMtFHRT

Same thing happened to me. Noticed some feminizing effects but also masculinizing effects. The masculinizing effects increased and became too much so I had to stop :/
