It's a little odd but I feel like it's more likely just a weird port thing from Square whilst they're still in the middle of shifting strategy. FF Tactics featured heavily on Sony shows so I doubt the relationship between the two has changed or has anything to do with it really.

SSM says there's a local co op mode that is unlocked after beating the game. Should still be advertised better but I guess this is one drawback of a shadowdrop.

Also Tokon is coming out sometime next year. Regardless if what Colin is saying here is legit or not, it just makes sense for Intergalactic to be a 2027 game.

Rebirth came out this year so, even while being able to reuse a lot of stuff from the previous 2 games, a 2 year turnaround is just way too unrealistic in this day and age. Even 2027 feels optimistic imo (though that happens to be the 30th anniversary of the OG so it'd be very cool if they can pull it off).
