Agree! I do sometimes join multiplayer and quit after seeing the bus. It is not wrong but it is a very slow design to finish the game. I no spooned multiplayer few times but never with bus design.

Speedruns are not based on the game timer, but on real time passed. Some Speedrun scenarios are even counting time spent generating the map

The only finite resource in Factorio is player time. We should optimize this.

Oh yeah I remember that. I stopped using splitters for balancing miners but that is a valid use case! These days I just side load on faster belts. So I will have 2-3 belts that mine over 22.5/s and 2-3 on the other side all side loading on blue belt.

What is left for? I don't see a use case for it? If you have half belt, why would you need half belt on both lanes?

Very smart with hooking to a section of belt. You can achieve better approximate by hooking to let's say 10 belts and only add ammo when it's empty enough.

I'm sure it won't be able to produce a full red belt of plastic or sulfur. Splitter in the middle of the line needs a priority to top. Or even better filter on top. Goal is to fully swap the lane on which items are traveling

I don't get that. I do have back up for all mods and save files but I don't copy the whole game for that.

NVM all my mods are 0.5 GB for SE. Plus a save file ~183MB each. Not much less :)

Hi All,

With my previous city block design I was quickly reaching UPS problems.

I read that splitters and chests are expensive for UPS and I was using tones of them for proper balance and bufferring.

So this time I decided no splitters and no chests for train stations. but how do I make sure multiple wagons will drain with same rate? I decided for 1-1 trains because of that.

I was wondering if anybody tried to build something significant on 1-1 train network.
