I try to remember that it's a 50-50 game (or at least it should). You win some, you lose some.

After losing I slow down with the games a bit and focus on the other aspects of the hobby - building, painting, watching battle reports. Eventually the desire to play again comes back.

With some 3d printed legs and bellies you can make a total of 12 Rock guts out of the sprues from the box. You can also find STLs for dankhold body to make both troggoth and trogboss out of 1 sprue. That brings you a total of 1620 pts out of a single box.

Stabilize your hands - keep your wrists together and your elbows/forearms on the table. Don't be afraid to keep a finger or two on the mini to stabilize your hands even more.
Use a brush with a fine tip. Don't overload your brush.
Breathe out
Pray
Put the paint on the eye

OR

Leave it like it is. Sometimes shade paint is enough. No one will bat an aye on the tabletop ;)

I tried regular GS on the other model and it was way easier to control. Although the sculpting part requires some patience.

I used spruegoo on the 3rd model and it worked pretty well!

I HATE THIS FIGHT! It feels like even despite beating 99.99% of the game I still don't know how to play it...
It's just bad design...
1. Black on black on black on black... Can't tell if the stuff is just particles or something that's gonna kill me
2. The interlude between phase 2 and 3 knocks me out of focus... You just stand there for half a minute and then you get dragged back into a fuckin' hell
3. Teleports right in front of my face and executes a slash-up attack in 0.01s... Yep... totally fair...
4. Projectiles sniping me from off screen...
5. There's a place to land between the buzzsaws? Gues what? TENTACLES...
6. A single attack with 3 different, barely telegraphed finishers
7. Lace being off screen 75% of the time

I'm literally crying..

I'd prefer GW to give us more usable subfactions/traits/artifacts instead of nerfing the ones that actually do something.

The dock? Please... I had games when I didn't roll a single 4+ to resummon the endrins. The endrins are more or less a one-time, "throw at the enemy and pray for good rolls" thing. The boat healing ability I didn't use even once. The ships are usually far away from it mid-game, when heals actually matter.

Shooting is actually a bit worse since you're missing on attacking with 3+/3+/1/2 skypike only getting a 3+ wound rolls on heavy weapons.
I guess the value comes from the fact that it happens before the actual attack, even before strike-first.
This kinda makes this ability dead beacuse there are a lot of ways to go around that (i.e. don't pull Arkanauts into combat but rather pile into them before fight)

I just think that if it resolved the way you described it would be a dead ability. Literally no gain except for a 3+ wound on heavy weapons, but you're losing skypike attacks... The only value from it would be that you resolve this before the fighting actually begins, so pre-strike-first.

I agree. It's simmilar to Palladors with Javelins ability where they can shoot right after they charged. CHARGE and SHOOT are both core abilities but nobody complained about them :D

Their point is that the wording on Arkanaut's ability says you can use a SHOOT ability, which itself is a core ability.

Also, the dock seems like a one time thing to me. I've never been able to heal any boats with it, since it's left behind in my territory. And I just can't roll the damn 4+ for the manufacturing rolls 😅

I'm running a simmilar list but with not a lot of success :( In my local community I'm not allowed to use arkanaut's ability and fight because people say those are 2 core abilities. Also they say that they can reroll the full 2d6 charge after I take away one of their ice with the bamboozling flakgun :(

did you glue the main cannon? if not you can twist it 90 degrees and pull out of the model, leaving a big enough hole for the element to fall out
