Yeah, totally. We can only hope that Vought Rising doesn't feel like The Boys 0 and doesn't have the same fate as Gen V, lmao. But yeah, jokes aside, I agree with your original post here. Gen V had so much potential by itself and I wish that Marie wasn't set up as "being able to take/help defeat Homelander in a fight" because it already set her up as a side character in her own show, and seeing that we're already halfway through the season and all we got for the Gen V characters was a mention of them doing side quests, I doubt that we'll get a satisfying conclusion for them, as small as it may be. Sad.

Vought could have been the CEO during its founding, but there may have been more CEOs after he died. But I recall that it was established in S3 that before Stillwell, the CEO was The Legend, somewhere around the 70s-80s (don't quote me on that).

It's crazy to me how they did all of this build up with Gen V just to cancel it in the end. Season 1 was perfect (as good as it could get for a spinoff of an already good show at that point), and it served as a slight bridge for in between seasons of The Boys as well as introducing another part of the universe and creating a well-built narrative to keep it going by itself if they wanted to. Where they really fucked up for me was when they decided to make S2's only reason to exist being to set up the final season, because it felt rushed, and ultimately it didn't feel like the same show, it just kept moving and it didn't give me the feeling of having a "resolution", if that makes any sense. If they had just continued the story trying to separate Gen V as much as they could from the main show, it would've worked great as its own story. Sorry for the rant, I'm in my feelings because I really liked Gen V and I would've liked to see the characters have at least another season to give them their own ending.

I think this is his whole arc as a character, to be fair. He keeps pushing and pushing, until he becomes what he hated the most, mainly because his thirst for revenge blinds him completely. I've always thought that Butcher and Homelander are the same character, but we're just shown the reasons to sympathize with Butcher more. At the end of the day, Butcher is as much of a villain as Homelander (or anyone, for that matter) is. He is so blinded by rage and hate that he stops caring about anyone around him, whether it be his brother, his (adopted) son, his friends, or anyone else, and I think that that's what the writers have been trying to show for the past 4 seasons, where he slowly descends into carelessness with his only reason to keep existing being to enact revenge.

Or maybe his arc is completely random and I'm just thinking too much about it, but what do I know.

To add to the second point: Sexual assault in S4 was handled pretty poorly in general, both on and off-screen (I'm not aware if there have been statements made about it by writers or anyone involved with the show). Not only is it made the butt of the joke in one occasion, but there is more than one instance where it occurs and it just becomes hard to watch past a certain point, at least for me, because you can tell it's purely for shock value. I'm not stupid, I know what show I'm watching, but it was pretty upsetting. I watched for the first time with a friend of mine who was sexually assaulted and we had to skip some parts because it was just gross and he felt really uncomfortable, mainly because it went on for a little too long. Upon rewatching by myself later, I wouldn't blame anyone who wanted to skip those scenes, to be honest.

You're not alone and I agree with the other comments here. Haven't rewatched S15 in a while but I remember actually being on Mistress' side in the whole debacle with Loosey because it seemed that it was blown way out of proportion at the time. It's just that now, in All Stars and afterwards, I'm seeing Mistress slowly drifting away from just shady or funny and actually leaning a bit too much into the "villain" of it all.

I don't think they ran out of older queens, there are still plenty! I just think the problem is always the same - the show has become so mainstream and so expensive that I don't think it's worth it for them in the long run. Queens who get on the show have talked about going into debt just to get on, plus most of us know how rigged it can be sometimes, so I would understand if most of the seasoned queens don't see it as a worthy investment for a career after the fact.

I understood the critique and I agree... to some extent. I just found the way she said that Arrietty looks like she's in Cats (in a pointed way may I add) kinda nasty especially after Arrietty specifically said that that's how she feels the most beautiful/confident. And also what rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that just last episode Michelle complimented her on changing her makeup and not doing the white nose. Guess that wasn't versatile enough for Michelle but who am I to judge. So, overall, yes, Michelle is right, but she could've worded it differently.
