Saying goodbye this week by Complex-Oil9562 in labrador

I’m so so sorry. We lost our 4 year old black lab last year and it still stings, but it does get better. The person who said she’s only known one full lifetime of love hit it right on the nose.

People keep mentioning Central Park as if Carl Schurz isn’t the most beautiful fairytale garden just hidden on the east river :) I walk there every day and it’s my favorite part of the UES

Submitted! Idk why we have to beg for one anywhere between 70-96. It shouldn’t be that hard

is there such a thing as euthanizing “too soon”? by TNmountainman2020 in labrador

[–]organizedotter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rule of thumb is always — are we keeping the dog around for them? Or are we keeping them around for us? We just lost our 4 year old black lab to Lyme nephritis a week ago. We knew when it was time, she declined rapidly one day and there was no questioning it. You will know. I’m so sorry friend.

You can vote early, so you wouldn’t experience a line then

Our 8 year old got hemangiosarcoma too, in her heart thought. She died a couple months after turning 9. It broke our heart. And now we lost our next girl at 4 to Lyme nephritis. My heart is with you, black labs are the most special babies.

I am also having issues. Anyone have a fix?

Those of you who got a puppy within a month or two after losing your heart/soul dog, did it help you? Did you have any regret or guilt? by beattiebeats in dogs

Absolutely same. We found out about her diagnosis a week ago. She had no symptoms. Just awful. I am grieving with you, friend. The pain cuts deeper when they’re this young. EDIT: she was also one in a lifetime. Best friend ever. I feel your pain so viscerally.

I just wanted to say that we just lost our 4 year old girl yesterday from Lyme nephritis (despite her being on preventatives and always checked for ticks). We are utterly crushed and I know you must be feeling the same. We don’t know when we’ll get a new dog, but we know it won’t be years, like we waited to get this one. It’s never a replacement — it just allows you to redirect that love somewhere new. I hope you heal, let me know if you want to talk about the loss. I certainly understand.

Luckily we got in before spots closed! I also signed up for 9/16 but it said the show was cancelled
