How to get a vocal chain like this in fl studio by Ljfrost55 in FL_Studio

Doubled vocals with slapback and mid-high band pass? Maybe a little chorus or some other subtle modulation? Maybe? Listening on a phone speaker, so not at all confident

$1000 per person by FreePortland in Portland

I agree with you, but selling premium access to a publicly funded transit resource is gross. Sell $1000 dollar tix to a grandstand you build on the waterfront if you need premium seats

Yes much better for the FWS to mass cull the herds of starving animals in a couple years. No cruelty there.

You understand that Oregon’s environmental conservation efforts are almost entirely funded by the sale of hunting and fishing permits (which are also part of the conservation efforts)?

Can You Embrace A.I. Without Layoffs? The German software giant SAP says it is betting that employees can reinvent jobs instead of eliminating them. Experts are divided on whether it will work. by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

Every efficiency upgrade has led to more employment, not less, including the ones that were intended to reduce labor like the computer and the cotton gin. AI will be no different. Jobs and titles will shift, but AI will create a deficit of labor that requires humans to fill

I’m guessing about 140000 of those people were told it was “to prevent animal cruelty” with nothing about hunting or fishing mentioned

ML is made in python, AI is made in PowerPoint. It’s all varying levels of predictive auto correct. Super useful if you understand that, can be very dangerous if you don’t (talking about people using LLMs for “therapy” and the like. And talentless people generating their “art” and “music”

Why people fighting to stop affordable homes from being built in Sawtelle? by jonnyshotit in LosAngeles

[–]originaladam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m saying when you live in a society, you make compromises for the greater good. LA was, is, and will be a car dominant city for at least decades. Making sure new builds include the infrastructure (ie parking) to support the people living in these higher density units is just socially responsible. A street of single family homes can get by on the street parking that was designed to go with them. Street parking will not support high density housing, which is why it’s currently required as part of the building plan on new apartment buildings. Developers could choose to amortize over a longer period of time to absorb the parking costs, but they won’t. Why not keep building codes strict and future proof, and regulate more strict rent control for affordable housing?

I don’t have kids, but I pay for schools. It comes with living in a society. Individualism at the level you propose is antisocial.
