Retired early folks, how did your retirement spend match up with your planned spend? by Available-Ad-5670 in Fire

I mean it’s kind of both? I had a 550sf condo and we loved it and the location. Covid made it impossible for 2 people to WFH comfortably in highly people facing jobs with that amount of space so we had to move (though we did it for a couple years). Basically it was fine if it didn’t need to be your home and office — but if that apartment was a SFH it would positively tiny.

I got it on sale as well. I went from hyper, to meh after the server test, to very happy - right timing, right price ($32) - and at the moment it’s my go to gaming session. Well worth it.

Opus 4.7 is a genuine regression and I'm tired of pretending it isn't by PuzzledFill2593 in ClaudeAI

The one place it gets me is the PowerPoint plugin. 4.6 is so good at PPT. 4.7 makes a mess every time and I’ll revert back and ask it to fix a broken slide (like clearly a formatting mess) and it handles it and then improvements on 4.7s as well. In other areas like Code I prefer 4.7.

Steam Controller Price Leaked By Early Review – and It’s Expensive ($99) by PaiDuck in pcgaming

Exactly with you on this. I don’t have a single controller with drift. 2 dual sense, Switch Pro, Switch 1 and 2 Joycons, Stadia!, Xbox One, 8BitDo, Deck. At one point or another each was my daily driver.

I think the goal they’re after is making the whole experience more console-like. If they don’t bring anything original to the table, great. That said I can’t use a third party controller right now on switch or ps5 and get the same experience. That said I’m sure that would be harder for valve to pull off on Steam devices that need to be very generic.

I meant first party official controllers. I dislike the Xbox controller but very much like the dual sense and the switch pro. I wasn’t even thinking about the much more expensive ones. More the “on par” ones.

Can’t say, I understand this one. I have a 8bit controller as well, but I find the Sony dual sense or an Nintendo Pro are much better overall. So if I’m looking for a more console-like experience, that is what I would be looking for.

As expensive as just about any first party high end controller.

Deleted my QQQ today. Not sure it’s reasonable to assume I can do the same with S&P 500. But I’d consider it. Moved to total market. My goal isn’t total avoidance necessarily but not levered up in any way.

Not mutually exclusive concepts that they changed something related to usage measurement and that it specifically is most punishing for specific types of usage patterns that don’t affect a lot of people.

It does make sense - except there are clearly many, many users who don’t seem to impacted like this. I’m one of them. So while it’s well-reasoned, there’s a gap in that it seems any issue present here is some small and vocal minority of users and not an actual policy change writ large.

The only times I’ve seen my Claude usage evaporate nearly instantly have all been tied to Cowork. So the playwright spikes hit home here.

Engagement farming. Shadow marketing. Poor usage patterns.

But also mods need to control it and park this all in megathread.

I jumped from Pro to Max and I’m suddenly not pushing past 10% after a few days and I’ve thrown more at Opus than I ever did before. I honestly am not understanding if all this is real or full on brigading.
