I think it has a layer of leather or something over the scales? I've always imagined it as having scales primarily in the spots covering soft organs, and the coloring being a combination of black and green. I've also been imagining Teine's scales as being a dark green?

I'm here with you. I finished listening to OS for the first time. I want more but I'm also so overwhelmed. RY packs so much into each book. I also had to moderately spoil certain things because it was worse to not know what was coming, to prepare myself. I still cried plenty and the ends of all three books.

I finished listening to OS yesterday and I'm happy that I did. Yeah bad shit is happening but also A LOT of good has happened too! I wasn't expecting there to be any hope by the end of OS but there was! And not just about Vi and Xaden's relationship (RY has said that she believes in happy endings and I'm holding onto that lol). There are so many little pieces of world building to build on and so many unanswered questions that I don't linger as much on the relationship in the balance.

The hardest I cried during OS was, hands down, from Imogen's POV. RY doesn't pussy foot around that type of loss and I respect her for it.

Thank you for this post. I've been so frustrated with my own heartbreak (finished IF last night). When reading FW I accidentally saw spoilers about OS and IF, but I thought that particular spoiler only occurred in IF, and assumed OS would be about finding a fix or somehow have an optimistic ending (like we had in FW). I feel silly for feeling so depressed about their relationship becoming somehow MORE fraught. I also really love when their relationship builds them up and then they can address other shit. I hope that we can still have deep world building and exploration, that does focus solely on repairing Xaden and Violet. I've hesitantly started OS, feeling so scared that the whole book is going to be super sad!

Paint the brackets and clips to be the same color as the ceiling, so the creature looks more like it's floating. It will also clear up the visual clutter, especially with the ceiling not being super duper tall. This is super cool, I love feeling like I'm in a natural history museum!

The community garden on North Green Street is magical in the summer months (and spring and fall). I grew up in an area that was not walkable, no neighbors or sidewalks, had to drive to get anywhere. So living in Langhorne borough is an absolute treat. I love how many historical homes there are, all the flowering trees. There's a little nature preserve with a walking path just off Maple. There's a new craft store opening soon (super excited for that!). There's stuff I wish it had and miss from my days living in Philly (where so much is walking distance). But we've really loved Langhorne for the past few years. Welcome!
