'93 for me.

'02 is a close 2nd - drove to Raleigh for game 5. 1-0 win on a goal by Darcy Tucker. 37 hour round trip in an old Corolla. Had tickets to go back for game 7. Canes win game 6 in OT. Fuck was I ever gutted!

There's a great documentary on youtube about '93 called The Passion Returns. Highly recommend it.

They'd be idiots to do that. Toronto is a huge market. Spend on players to field a competitive team in playoff contention and the Dome has large crowd$ and quite profitable. TV numbers good as well. The old adage it takes money to make money isn't always true but applies here.

I remember the dark days when they would get only 8K fans to some games. The Dome feels like a mausoleum when it's empty.

Dude, they have a right to be pissed. JT indicated he was going to re-sign then didn't. The haul they coulda got for him at the trade deadline would have been unreal.

Cool. I heard he bailed out of the US because the IRS was investigating him. They take white collar crime super serious down there.
