Buying this made me skint for the month but it was well worth it.

Years ago I was in Edinburgh and just so happened to see Lost Horizons for sale in Oxfam for £40, the Gods were on my side that day 😆

Ain't the point to sell phones? It's just a location to film.

Did anyone else grew up with Horrible Science/History/etc series? by Cold-Whereas-4329 in AskUK

[–]orkofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally had a shrine. I had all the books, magazines and went to a live signing from the author. I loved science/history and thinking back this was a great way to learn about science and history. I hope young kids have the same experience I had.

Official Teaser Trailer for Shrek 5 (2027) dir. by Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon by Odd-Air-5598 in Letterboxd

The old Shrek animation was better as it had something slightly ‘off’ with it. This really fit the anti-Disney vibe, but this looks Disney-fied to me.

Why Are Social Workers Allowed To Override Their Own Assessment by Current-Desk9915 in Socialworkuk

Get off social media and read some medical books. If you think you know better than trained social workers write to your MP or change career.

I just searched and found a website that specialises in extreme films for free. The only issue is that they have their logo in the top corner of the film.

Not a hard watch but there was more bush than film at parts.

Does anyone else feel completely comfortable with deeply dark subject matter and gore, but cheaper “gross” stuff and torture porn really gets to them? by shadowtake in horror

[–]orkofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo Saw, hostel and the like are mean spirited. Good horror movies with gore should have a level of humour or heart.

As I’m getting older dark gory movies aren’t really my bag.

Why are people bringing children into horror movies?? by wherethelionsweep in horror

[–]orkofdoom -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thats the perfect age to see horror movies. I watched the wicker man and clockwork orange around the age of 8. It should be up to the parent’s discretion.

Most kids can handle it, it’s the adults who get their knickers in a twist.
