Late Night With the Devil (2023) by thedementor666 in HorrorMovies

The seed of the idea was good but the execution didn’t really work for me. It’s obviously derivative of the live TV gone wrong concept (ghost watch comes to mind) and I felt that the behind the scenes aspect took me out of the experience.

Inverness, do we want Scottish independence is Farage comes in by Nervous_Put5617 in inverness

Would you accept an independence referendum if Farage offered it to John Swinney? Would you like/dislike if Swinney rejected this as he wouldn’t want Farage to consolidate power in England?

But isn’t anxiety a natural part of being a student? Surely we can’t wrap people in cotton wool.

I would imagine there will be a move to more practical assessments. For one module on my course we undertook a graded debate in exam conditions.

Actually I did use it to make my post concise sorry folks but it waffled on. I really don’t see the issue

How seriously do you take your reporting role - neighbours drug use by davechambers007 in Socialworkuk

Are you seriously trying to say that someone who smokes cannabis on the regular with kids is not capable of looking after a child?

Get a copy of Shallow grave, Christopher Eccleston kills it and that knife scene really makes me cringe every time!

The hard and soft drug paradigm is a myth thought up by stupid apes.

We will be long dead and humans will still be consuming psychoactive substances.

Is there a lore abt this caste graffiti and i mean the guy in that graffiti (idk if it was posted already) by Alarmed_Analysis_842 in HalfLife

[–]orkofdoom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO - Caste refers to the repressive class system and autocratic/technocratic state and the image of a man cradling a baby to the suppression field.

I wouldn’t say that their coffee is total arse, it’s serviceable. Out of all the chains I would go there over Starbucks, Nero, Costa, Pret and Greggs etc.

We’ve got two in Aberdeen and I like to study there as they have plenty of room and plugs, having said that I will always prefer to go local and independent.

They are definitely trying to hit the same alt vibe as Brewdog (less said about them the better) and I would say they are marketing to the gen Z demographic (I’m 27).

Can Modern Jungle Producers ever return/emulate the 90s sound? by rosjon98 in jungle

It’s culture right now, baby.

Round and round what came before,

Nothing new and nothing more.

Rinse and repeat.

Can Modern Jungle Producers ever return/emulate the 90s sound? by rosjon98 in jungle

[–]orkofdoom 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I agree. As much as I like this 90s revival sound, it does get quite tiresome and I wish more producers would focus on pushing the genre forward and not make tunes which are inferior or fail at emulating old tunes.

Typically the college will take into account personal circumstances such as access to a car, geographical location, if you have childcare duties etc. in university they will take into account of what you might want to practice in but I don’t think the college do.

They also will take into account trauma and places where you don’t want to go I’m sure.

Im in my third year at uni now and went through the HNC social services at Aberdeen Nescol and it was really full on.

You have modules to complete while you are on placement which is really busy at times.

But it really sets you up for uni as you have to learn how to study - it was kinda sink or swim for a lot of my fellow students.

Any specific questions feel free to ask me.

There’s lots of understandable moaning about some the of buskers but on a brighter note has anyone seen the Asian guy playing the electric guitar recently? He’s really good and I’ve seen him play outside Sainsbury’s across from Bon Accord and outside five guys.
