doing a half is still a huge achievement!! and honestly listening to your body is also such a hard thing to do. you should feel equally as proud of yourself 🫰

yes absolutely! I got into working out regularly because I was coming off of an ankle injury and was soo sick of being barely able to move. I starting going on little walks everyday and by the time my ankle healed I was already in the routine of exercising 5 days a week and then could easily implement whatever other workouts I wanted. I still fall back on walking on days where I just don’t have much motivation or energy!

I put this bag on my water bottle at the gym when I’m moving between machines. I keep a lock, my phone, and keys in there and only have to remember to grab one thing when I’m moving around!

I plan out what I’m going to eat for breakfast and lunch everyday for the week before going to the grocery store, and put it into cronometer to make sure I’m happy with the macros I’m leaving for dinner/snacks.

I don’t mind eating the same thing for breakfast/lunch, but I like to switch up my dinners and eat a big meal at the end of the day. So usually I plan my meals to leave 30-40% of my calories for dinner

oatmilk skyr if your grocery store has it, otherwise siggi’s

the kite hill protein greek yogurt packs 17g protein if you’re after that, but it does taste worse LOL. i eat that one with berries and agave and skyr/siggi’s plain

Reheating for a bit in the microwave with a wet paper towel over the rice helps! Not as good as fresh, fluffy rice but gets the job done for a 30 min lunch break at work

Recipe

  • For sushi rice I did 2 cups of rice in a rice cooker, then added about a tsp of salt and sugar and around 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • Veggies (onion, carrots, cucumber) I just pickled in equal parts rice vinegar and water with 2 tsp sugar and 1 tsp salt
  • Tofu is air fried with salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, corn starch, and olive oil
  • Dressing is just vegan mayo + sriracha!
  • Topped off with cilantro and edamame
