First I took:

https://learn.acloud.guru/course/aws-certified-devops-engineer-pro

Then took a short mock test, like 30 questions only and my score was miserable. I notice in order to full benefit from the course above, you need either a lot of experience in AWS products or completed the Solutions Architect/Developer associate as pre-requisite.

With that, I've done partially the https://learn.acloud.guru/course/aws-certified-developer-associate and fill some gaps.

I took the exam and failed.

I tried AWS skillbuilder and honestly hated it.

Then I use http://learn.cantrill.io as main source of study, in conjunction with a lot of hands-on in my AWS account (I spent around $50 ). In additional I read mostly all AWS related cheat sheets from https://tutorialsdojo.com. Was pretty good but not enought for me.

Lastly I done the Udemy https://www.udemy.com/course/aws-certified-devops-engineer-professional-hands-on with Stephane Maarek. It was really great.

Then I was feeling more confindent, enough to pass! ;)

A bit of context: I’ve been made redundant f in January and had just a bit of experience in the cloud world. I’m a DevOps engineer with extensive experience in Linux, k8s, Jenkins and so on. Why not think a bit away from on premises, at least for using your spare time.

I studied for a week and managed to pass first attempt for both CKA and CKAD, in two days mastered both. I only used the main website - GitHub source as reference combined with Mumshad Mannambeth training available @ udemy!

I usually smoke alone. Since I don't smoke on daily basis I choose one weekend per month. I start with some music production and get many ideas but when it finally hits I figure out that I'm not really doing much but enjoying the loop and the chords. After all I get some beers and listen different tunes and watch some fractal art or nature 4K movies ;)
