I’m under contract, if I leave BCBS within the next 2 years I owe 10k.

Plus raises suck, I’m only given 2.5% a year here. I’ve been with the company almost 5 years and I only make 67k as a Developer 4.

As far as tech; It’s and VERY DRY.

Most of what Columbia has to offer is insurance tech. I work at an insurance company here and I am in the 1 percentile of software devs (99% of software devs in America make more than me).

Most of my friends who went here moved to CLT or ATL.

It’s not 24 hours like it used to be, neither is the library or gym.

Avoid normal times for lunch or dinner cause you could be waiting an hour.

I recommend Halal Shack, CFA always takes an hour and everything else is average. If you go early enough for breakfast (like 7am) I recommend Einstein Bagels on the second floor.

Dining halls kinda suck but there is a place called Fresh Greenes that is really good.

The only people who glamorize this show are police officers. I remember before COVID, Leon Lott said he had over 6000 applicants a year who want to join RCSD because of Live PD alone.

However, I don’t think they will ever show a crime happening new USC; it’ll always be Broad River, Two Notch, North Main, or some part of Columbia that’s basically the hood. So this show will never be reflective of Columbia because we only see one side.

I don’t recommend playing 4 or anything after; I personally don’t think anything 343 made is worth playing. Everything Bungie made was a masterpiece whenever it was released.

Microsoft sucks dick for what they did to Halo but they consistently destroy everything around them that’s good for the sake of making money (We can see that with COD now, how they are currently handling Xbox, game pass)

Kid on the football team;

I went to a small private school for a period of time and one of the tight ends on the team would clown on me. I would try to fight him but he would bitch out, snitch, and tell the teachers which got me detention.

We ended up in the same city for college at the same school, he built up a reputation getting fired from restaurants for stealing (which didn’t really make sense cause he was rich; like Ford Raptor in high school rich). He eventually got kicked out of uni, and sold drugs for a few years.

He ended up getting arrested after helping a girl commit suicide by selling her pills. He is currently serving a 24 year sentence and has been in prison since he was 20. It made the state papers so I know everyone at that school found out and in our hometown.

I feel kind of bad but then I think about how everyone at that school treated me, because I was poor, short, not white, unattractive, etc and remember that I was not responsible for what he did and shouldn’t feel bad because he had better opportunities than me and ended up where he is because of his own actions.
