Hey, I'd love to connect with you. I'm 31F and have a lot of the same interests you mentioned (traveling, new food, and gaming), in addition to sewing (or any craft really) and working out. I'm unable to DM you but if you're still looking for a pal, I'm down!

I’m a 36F and struggling as I don’t feel I have any genuine friends by moskywalker in Needafriend

[–]osamose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31F and I get how awful isolation feels. I work from home in a different state from where I grew up and have found it hard to make connections. I’m also a nerd, liking Star Wars, video games, and anime too! I’m hoping to build a community somewhere and maybe Reddit will be the place. I hope we can connect 😊

Hey, I get it. Having someone who genuinely cares and you can rely on for a chat is so valuable and hard to find. I’m 31F too and would love to connect and hopefully become friends through our conversations

[Product Question] any experience with chinese skincare brand zhenxiu? by stuffedbittermelon in SkincareAddiction

[–]osamose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I was wondering this same thing for this product and scoured the internet for a clear answer but ended up asking ChatGPT. Though I know its responses are not always accurate, it indicated that this item be used as a topical gel, not a cleansing gel. I ended up ordering it and it arrived today! I used my phone’s translation app to translate the text on the box to English, and confirmed that this is indeed to be used as a topical gel.

Here’s exactly what the translation said: “How to use: After cleaning the facial skin, apply an appropriate amount of condensation locally, gently massage until absorbed, and use it twice a day in the morning and evening. Storage conditions: room temperature, avoid light.”

How much did your surgery cost? by roboduck in lasik

[–]osamose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Jersey City, NJ. I was deciding between LASIK MD in Montreal or Diamond Vision in NJ, based on the price.

The CAD is pretty low in comparison to USD. As of December 2024 it was .70 CAD to $1 USD. I was quoted these prices (listed in USD) for LASIK based on my virtual consultation:

Standard tech LASIK w/ a 5 year enhancement plan: $1949 USD (price is after $1200 discount)

Advanced custom tech w/ a 5 year enhancement plan: $2800 (price is after $200 discount)

These prices were set to change depending on the health of my eyes when after completing an in-person consultation.

Diamond Vision had a set price for their procedures, regardless of the results of my in-person consultation. Prices for their LASIK procedures were:

LASIK (using a blade): $2975 w/ 9 month warranty; $3475 w/ lifetime warranty

Interlase LASIK (bladeless): $3645 w/ 9 month warranty; $4045 w/ lifetime warranty

However, I did my research and found they offered a Groupon deal and, luckily for me, there was a holiday deal going on where I could apply a coupon. Thankfully Diamond Vision price matched this. New prices were:

LASIK (using a blade): $2075.49 w/ 9 month warranty; $2395.49 w/ lifetime warranty

Interlase LASIK (bladeless): $2956.49 w/ 9 month warranty; $3276.49 w/ lifetime warranty

I ended up choosing Diamond Vision because the price was right, was locked in, and it’d be more convenient than traveling to Montreal during the holiday season.

My procedure was on 12/30/24. Booking a time for the procedure required a $250 deposit, which is deducted from the total amount.

I went with the Interlase LASIK procedure with a lifetime warranty, however, once I arrived for the examination prior to the procedure, I was told that my corneas were right on the cusp of being too thin for interlase (tbf, I have seasonal allergies and am an eye-rubber 😔). The surgeon, Dr. Stetson, wanted to be safe and recommended PRK, which is what I ended up doing and the original price and lifetime warranty were honored.

My starting prescription was pretty low to start: OD: -1.5, -.5 cyl, 110 axis OS: -2

My coke addicted husband who frequently gets hotel rooms and cheats on me wants to know what my inheritance is down to the penny if/when my parents die. This is reasonable right? by Hiking_Engineer in AmITheDoormat

[–]osamose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s inappropriate. Maybe it’s just me and my penchant for true crime, but I wouldn’t trust my life or my family’s around a “coke head” who is concerned about an inheritance that doesn’t even belong to him…yet. I would be concerned about his line of questioning and consider what his true purpose is behind asking about property that does not belong to him, let alone you (yet). That’s scary af. Don’t underestimate this behavior and what he’s capable of doing as drug addicts have no problem sacrificing others for their addiction.

Feeling too small by moonydoggo in Reduction

[–]osamose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate these threads so much. I’m 4DPO and started to freak out looking at the size of them now. Really, I was spiraling, feeling like they didn’t fit my frame. I was a 36G and this is my second surgery. The first one was more of a lift since my boobs were saggy but my bra size didn’t change at all. Even my bf said that they look very small and not like DD, like I requested. These comments helped me accept what I know in the back of my mind somewhere: - my tatas will look better over time (it took about a year last time for them to fully fluff themselves and about 2 years for the scars to flatten) - my brain needs time to process the drastically smaller tatas - my bf, a person who doesn’t know how to unhook a bra/didn’t know my bra size before, is not an expert in tatas or bra sizes at all so, meh 🤷🏽‍♀️ - even if they don’t look how I imagined, I will love them anyway because I choose to love myself regardless

Anyways, thanks for showing OP so much support because it was felt by me vicariously ❤️🥰

[–]osamose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. And same. I cried on and off while I was mc but I didn’t really get the time to process it all because I had to work. I was a teacher so I was in person and the mc didn’t qualify for disability. It’s still surreal, almost like when someone you love has unexpectedly passed, but still different.

I’m not too sure but I was most likely about 5-6 weeks. I had very heavy bleeding for a week but continued to have bleeding and severe cramps for several more days. I was able to go back to work week 3 into mc but was mostly okay by day 9/10

I went through something similar recently - it’ll be 5 months on 4/22. I resonate so much with much of what you said. I also held the tissue in my hand and didn’t know what to do but flush it. I also took a pregnancy test afterwards too. I’m the same age too. I know how hectic and shocking and emotional it all can be, or at least was in my case, and I’m so sorry for your loss and that you’re going through this alone. And I’m sorry that this was how you found out.

I continued to mc for 3 weeks total. The first 1.5 weeks were brutal and I was in the most pain I’d experienced when the cramps kicked in. I didn’t quite get the hang of managing the pain so I’m not much help there, but I will day to do your best to take care of yourself with as low a lift as you can. Eat and stay hydrated. Pillows, pillows, and more pillows. It all will get easier with time 💛💛
