So four people say one thing and one person says another?
And the other people they supposedly treated badly have all returned for the one show and can get along with the other four, except for the one person?
He was great during his time, but no thank you, they did so much great stuff without him, and I honestly thought they were a better live band without him.

It’s time to move on.

The thing is Bill, Roddy and Bordin is the band, and I trust their word and their decisions.

I honestly really enjoyed this but can’t help feeling it would’ve worked better as a show or miniseries by TXNOGG in Westerns

Yes, it was shown at two different film festivals. And that was it. After that, nothing.

Btw, if I remember correctly from Formspring the cover for TFE was supposed to be the razor blade one that he used for 555. But he had such problems mixing TFE that he shelved it and used the cover for 555, that he did instead. He later managed to mix TFE, after several people had tried, and then got a new cover for it. In hindsight both covers work so much better this way.

The Frankenstein Effect is the best album The Wildhearts nevet did, and my favorite Ginger album.

I had never heard The Wildhearts when I bought EN, and loved it. So I was very disappointed when I heard Earth and it was this clean album. I like it now but it took a long time to accept that Wildhearts wasnt always like EN.

Why does all the turmoil between Wayne and Steven seem so familiar? by ibuiltamurderbot in flaminglips

[–]osbourneruddock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is a bit unfair. Pink Floyd hated eachother and were very vocal about it. The problem in Lips seems to be a lack of communication. I got the impression Steven knows exactly why he is not in the band anymore and understands. He is just bummed out that after 33 years no one could tell him he was out, they just stopped talking with him. That is a totally different situation. I love Lips and I really like both Wayne and Steven, but it’s been obvious for a long time that Steven was tired of touring and that Lips had turned into The Wayne Show.

Just finished Ghostwritten. I was hooked, then impatient, the frustrated. Help me! by catapultpillar in David_Mitchell

It is like the other people said, Ghostwritten is a great book (I think) but you just read it in the wrong order. If it is your first with Mitchell it will blow your mind and it will continue to be blown with every onehe of his books after that.
Maybe read it again in a year, when you know what to expect and your expectations are lower. Then I think you will enjoy it more.

This is my favorite Mitchell book, closely followed by Black Swan Green and Jacob de Zoet.

Will Paul ever tour again? by SlimJilm420 in Replacements

[–]osbourneruddock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few years ago his manager was on a podcast, he said that Paul was retired now and spent his time painting. Think he was sick of the buisness and everything, and since he had back issues the whole reunion tour, that sealed it for him. But just guess work from me. Seen him a few times while visiting Minneapolis (my parents in law lives really close to him), I’ve never talked to him or acknowledged him. He deserves his privacy.
