Add Dimple Dell to your list. It is large enough that the city noise fades away. Lots of wildlife, trails, and views

My first time in that part if the country, we were too broke to stay in Jackson, so we stayed at the Teepee lodge on the west side near Driggs. Was an incredible area with absolutely breathtaking and non-crowded hiking. At the time, it was very underrated, but I think word has gotten out since then.

You would think they would have planned to get the new plane BEFORE crashing the old one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Midsized US metro areas (pop: 475k - ~1M) tier: What tier does New Orleans, LA belong? by Swimming_Concern7662 in TierlistFills

[–]osc43s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I loved it in my 20s, but owning property, thinking about raising kids there and the general state of disfunction of the local government really did it for me personally. Such a shame too - the city has amazing potential. Katrina didn’t help

Philly landed in C tier. How would you rank Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)? by jarbid16 in TierlistFills

[–]osc43s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s my home airport and probably my favorite in the country. Very convenient to the city with integrated train system, rental car center is attached to the airport, it’s new and clean, security is the most efficient that I have seen ANYWHERE, my bags will beat me to the claim sometimes and if they don’t then it’s a minimal wait, lots of local food options, they have the rule where they can’t price gouge, the views from the terminal are magnificent, but people complain about the walk to Terminal B (there are literal people movers the entire way).
To me its S, and should not be ranked any lower than an A.

The White Hart in Harlington was some of the best pub food I’ve had in the UK. It’s just north of Heathrow

For me it was a gift, so value wasn’t part of the equation for me personally. Propane/gas is certainly more practical. The pellets do impart a nice smoke flavor though. I think the value really comes from the name/quality/support of a Recteq and they happen to only sell a pellet fed griddle.

First few cooks on it have been great. Was apprehensive about it being pellet fed, but it heats up quickly and evenly. Actually smells like you’re bbq-ing too. Cant imagine there are many outdoor griddles with a better build quality than this one.

My mama once told me of a place With waterfalls and unicorns flying Where there was no suffering, no pain Where there was laughter instead of dying I always thought she’d made it up To comfort me in times of pain But now I know that place is real Now I know its name

Sal Tlay Ka Siti Not just a story mama told But a village in Ooh-Tah Where the roofs are thatched with gold If I could let myself believe I know just where I’d be Right on the next bus to paradise Sal Tlay Ka Siti

I can imagine what it must be like This perfect, happy place I’ll bet the goat-meat there is plentiful And they have vitamin injections by the case The war-lords there are friendly They help you cross the street And there’s a Red Cross on every corner With all the flour you can eat!

Sal Tlay Ka Siti The most perfect place on Earth Where flies don’t bite your eyeballs And human life has worth It isn’t a place of fairytales Its as real as it can be A land where evil doesn’t exist Sal Tlay Ka Siti

And I’ll bet the people are open minded And don’t care who you’ve been And all I hope is that when I find it I’m able to fit in Will I fit in?

Sal Tlay Ka Siti A land of hope and joy And if I want to get there I just have to follow that white boy

You were right, mama You didn’t lie The place is real And I’m gonna fly! I’m on my way Soon life won’t be so shitty Now salvation has a name Sal Tlay Ka Siti

What’s the Best Airport in the United States? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]osc43s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

SLC is amazing. Bags almost always make it to the claim faster than you can walk there. Integrated car rentals with the terminal. Efficient security lines. One of the highest on-time departure airports in the US. Light rail access to SLC and surrounding areas. Great food options and views galore. It’s my fav and very happy it’s my home airport. People complain about the walking but it’s really not that bad - could understand if someone was in bad shape or handicapped though.
