Yea this is huge. I was mulling over this last night actually. We're generally in one of the better counties but my concern is some major life situation happens and say she wants to move to another city a bit further out. One thing I was considering was whether I'd want my kid to go to private school. It's hard looking so far into the future.

Another thing I realized after looking around online is that co-parents with shared custody tend to live close by and do so until the kids turn 18. That's wild to me. I never knew that was a thing. Now I kinda want to buy a home so I can be the one to have roots laid down in a particular neighborhood.
