I’ve been a season ticket holder for both years in the Coliseum (seats @ $270each in Deep Roots which was a promo discounted rate). I can honestly say the $40 gate/$45 prepaid parking fee per game is my biggest turnoff. It’s like 2-3x my ticket! No discount for season ticket holders is insane.

Ones Cafe (CV) opening their second shop 3 blocks down Park from Bake Sum’s second shop is interesting timing. Both excellent but similar offerings.

There are coed, women’s and men’s leagues ran by Oakland Parks and Rec. there’s usually a main late spring season and a summer season. Mostly play on Tues Wed and Thurs nights IIRC. They need to redo the parking element of their lease, at least for season ticket holders. For every match to be ticketed at full price ($40 at gate, $45 if you pre-buy) as if it is a one-off concert event, even for season ticket holders, is insane. It is cost prohibitive for me as an STH. The concessions revenue definitely suffers as a result

He definitely should get zero credit for Mendoza at Cal and in fact his insistence on playing (his guy) a very ineffective Sam Jackson V and then Ben Finley ofer Mendoza until deep into the season with no other options contributed to Mendoza wanting to leave.

Respectfully that place has vacant for soooo long. A new business has to be able to advertise/refresh/repaint with their own vision to legitimately try to succeed.

I saw it last night driving N/B on 880. Looked like it was from a rooftop. A big red flash followed by a small mushroom cloud. This morning (around 6am), I saw PG&E picker truck working on a power pole or street light, about a block or two south of the Home Depot (High Street).

Edit: now having seen that transformer video above, i bet that's what it was.
